It sounds as if the trade would be a profitable step up. Then again you already have a comfortable boat. It'd be like buying another .45-70, not that, that would be bad mind you, but in this case you'd be giving up your only 6.5 Creedmore. You know what I mean.

I like the boat and the bigger the better and more metal between me and Mad Max.
Plus something about a hood in front that never ends. I use to lie fast cars and drag racing as much as the next one though. Just don't trust my cordnation like I use to.Eyes sure ain't the same, thanks quacko's.

I probably would miss that Creedmore .

A man just needs that adrenaline rush once in a while.
My grand daughter, she's 15, had never ridden in the Vette, so last week she was over and wanted
me to take her for a ride.
So I showed out. Pulled out on main highway turning left, punched it hard , slid sideways with smoke everywhere, thrilled her.
That was fun.

Jim out showing off for the grandkids. LOL
BTW how did the grandson and his sweetie like their ride in the Vette?

They were gone for a long time.
He went and showed a bunch of his buddies , and his dad. He was so smiley.

Told me one of his buddies pulled up beside him at red light in town in his hot pickup truck , they were yelling back and forth...he said his friend burned out , so he just whipped his butt.
He was so excited.
They enjoyed it.

He will be 19 next week , and I love him to death.
He just got senior athlete student award .
Great academics and sports.

Good kid.

Got the LCHS Senior athletes of the year added to our plaque today! Congratulations to Kayden Watts and Justin Crawford on this honor! Well deserved, and 2 great examples of academically successful student athletes! #lyonsroar

I know your proud of him.,

Stock C3 ( 3rd gen) Covettes were dogs , until C4 (4th) then they were better , but not great until 1992 , the LT1 engine ...and it's been big HP ever since , increasing every year. The C7 and new 2020 C8 are one of the fastest production cars made.

Mine is a C4 , LT1 , and it will put you hard against the seat back.

But it really shines when cornering. There are no curves in a Vette. F U N.

The one I drove was a 1975, last year for the flat back window. I was not impressed
With the performance, didn't care for the wheel jump you had to see over, did not care for the feeling of dragging your ass on the ground. It's been large cars or pickups ever since.

After that I lost all interest in vettes.

I got a guy that is wanting to trade cars with me .

He wants my Corvette.
I really like his car also.
His car is a1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V.
Like new inside and out , 43,000 miles on it. Has been shown.
Last big American made car. Biggest ever off assy line.

My Vette is in excellent condition, but has little over 100,000 miles on it .
Not bad for 26 years.

I think his car ( from research) will sell for more money than mine.
His is more a collector than mine .
Mine is a driver for fun.

Now I'm torn , because I would like to have both.

What would y'all do.
As you know this is just a hobby for me.

Jim
Keep the Vet, and buy the Lincoln

Those were dogs...you need to ride in a modern day one.
Might change your mind.
Did mine.
My nephew had a 75...I drove it 20 years ago . Told my nephew to get rid of it.

When I was a young man, I had a friend who had a 69 cloth top, white over blue, 427 with a pair of 4s, for a while it seemed like he was blowing the clutch, breaking the tranny, or ripping out u-joints every Friday night. I got where I could drop the tranny out on my chest, swap out whatever he had shredded, and be running in an afternoon. One Friday he said, “let’s swap rides for the weekend" (I had a 4X4 pickup).

To be honest, it had nose that reached out a block, rode like it had no suspension, and had every cop in town following you no matter what you were doing... I was really glad to get my truck back.

No, if I have my druthers I'd rather have a 67' goat, it's what we had when I got my license and there is no substitute for you first love...
