You're right Billy. fracking takes place about a mile below the water table. Plus the well is cased way below the water table in order to NOT contaminate the water. What many people may not realize is that in many areas in the US there is naturally occurring oil and natural gas that makes its way to the surface. And on many beaches the little tar balls that everyone blame's on drilling most actually come from natural seeps under the ocean floor. I'm not saying that some spills do occur but far more oil is leaked on roads and parking lots than from the oil industry. In the doctor's office today a prepper guy and a fracking industry guy got into a debate about whether fracking polluted ground water. I think fracking does cause tremors, but is below the ground water level too significantly to cause pollution of it.
