having a couple on hand wouldn't hurt anything, breaking a valve stem at least for me has been a rare thing,I guess I have been lucky, but with ATVs and UTVs it has become a bigger concern they are far more likely to break a valve stem than your car or truck,,,,,,,,,,,,,I wonder how long it will be before they are in the stores

Looks like a good product and well made, but a little pricey. I could see keeping a couple on hand in the tool box, but so far I have never broken a valve stem on any of the vehicles that I've owned. And all of my vehicles are used off road daily. Of course an air compressor would be necessary for swapping out a broken valve stem in the field.

I think if a major societal collapse was beginning to become obvious I would invest in a set along with a full set of spare tyres and some puncture repair kits

That's a good idea. All of my vehicles have two sets of tires and spares. I have a couple of 12v air compressors and each vehicle has a can of tire sealer. I keep all my tires like new and top quality. I've only had 3 flat tires in almost 20 years, but I know my luck won't hold out forever.
