It feels to me like the whole worlds, (as in many-many countries) at the edge of Eruption.

I'm sure my dad felt the same way during his lifetime. As a youth during THE depression his savings were deprecated to the cost of a pocket watch. World II, Koren war, Cold War, Cuban missile crisis, Viet nam - Desert Storm - Desert Storm II, Jimmy Carter inflation and the Clintons.

There are big riots going on right now in many countries. Seems odd and ominous.

Yes..........And you stated it better than I did. It really is "Ominous". I was attending RIT in Rochester, New York from 1966 through 1969 as the city burned with endless riots. This has that same feel of frustration and bitterness, the exasperated need to strikeout and destroy.

I read an article last week about how Chile privatized water so it could be taken away from regular farmers and used to water Avocado trees for large corporate farms. The small farmers had no voice and no one cares. Sounds just like Venezuela without the oil.
Fortunately we live in a capitalist country (for now anyway:rolleyes:).
If there is a shortage of anything, the price goes up, there is money to be made, and people/companies step up and produce more.
Good ol' supply and demand rulz!

The problem with socialist countries is when they reach a tipping-point and there is a shortage, there is no impetus to produce more. Nobody is going to make any money.
All we can do is "vote&pray" that we don't join them:confused:.
