What is your experience with (ONLY) the delivery part of Walmart. If you hate Walmart, I really don't need to hear that. Just the delivery of the WALMART service.

waiting on a batch now. Mostly get what I order. Got 3 packages of bacon (the ol' roy store brand but it was fine) and some milk I didn't order...sat out on the porch about 40 minutes because I wasn't expecting cold stuff. I make them bring the cases of water because they stock it at the back of the store and the parking spots for able bodied customers is in a different zip code. Also its 5% cash back if they bring it to me vs 2% if I go get it.

I had never experienced it until this weekend. I didn't place the order, my daughter in law did, they would be gone, so it was for me and the kids. The order came when she had told me to expect them, I assume everything she ordered was contained therein, produce was in really decent shape, stuff was packaged up fine. I have never had to sign for receiving hard liquor but here we are. I did that too, big bottle, wrapped twice, and everything was fine. The meat was still cold. I'm in a northern state right now.

I have grown dissatisfied with Amazon. So, this might be a great gift for me going forward. An hour ago, was the very first-time I seen a Walmart truck.
This is very interesting as they have told me several times that they (Walmart) do not deliver any place in Alaska. My guess is that where I am "wintering" is 20 plus miles from Walmart in Kenai, AK.
You need the walmart credit card and I've there is a change in the cash back...like WM will do their own CC but for now it works.

im pretty rural and only get to the nearest town once a month so i do orders from walmart. got tired of amazon and the po. walmart ships fedex--and i alwasy get my packages on time. but---i did make a note that if walmart ships an order in 2 or more shipments its ok to hold til all can be delivered the same day so they arent coming out here too often. they like that--and bring the dogs a snack every time they come. my dogs love fedex. i love ordering from walmatrt.

We do Walmart regularly. Order online, it's sometimes on our porch the same day, but at least by the second day. Recently the amish guy that did our handyman work had mentioned that they used to be able to get a particular package of styro plates to stock the funeral meal wagon and now at the Walmart (15 miles away) doesn't stock them. Husband ordered all they needed online and 4 boxes of them arrived two days later on our porch. So sometimes the store is out, but online has it. Minimum $35 order for free shipping to our house. And you have to pay $100 a year for a Walmart Plus Membership. If you online order for delivery (which we don't do) you also are supposed to tip the driver.
If you pay for the membership, you get Burger King savings, Paramount Plus essential for free, a special member gas discout. We haven't used any of those, tho.
Do you have a Sam's Club, Sourdough? They deliver (not perishables). They are very reliable, too. It's been more than a year since I've stepped in their store, but we order dry goods from them alot.

NO..........None in Alaska currently. They were here.
They were in Anchorage a good fair while before Costco showed up. But Costco put them out of business in Anchorage, and I assume Alaska totally.

This time of year nobody will deliver to our house, so we tell them to leave the package at the side of the road or inside our gate. We know the UPS diver pretty well and if he has time he'll deliver to the house in summer. We gave him the code to our gates.
Walmart doesn't have much that I'm interested in, but have ordered a few things. Never had a problem with them.

Walmart started competing with Amazon for home delivery services a few years ago. All indications (from my knowledge) is they are doing a fine job.
Furthermore - Walmart's web site is much more user-friendly. Amazon's web-search sucks!
As with Amazon, though, Walmart will show if they are selling and shipping directly or if it will be shipped from an outside provider/seller. I've ordered dietary supplements from an outside source for home delivery and all went fine. For items bought on the web that Walmart stocks and sells directly I pick up at the store and the same day. Prices offered on the web are often cheaper than 'in store' purchases.
My cousin has the farm that joins mine on one side. She’s develop vision issues and used the wally delivery for the first time last week. She thought is was great. 20 miles out like me, next day delivery for her groceries. They changed a couple brands to fill the order but the pkg size was correct.
My nice handles groceries for my folks so she’s thinking about trying it. I need to see it with my own eyes but if it works why not. However, I usually have a half dozen stops when I go to town, different errands. It’d still save me from actually having to stop at walley’s.

I wish I had a photo. I took a large truck box, made of heavy steel. They are for chains and tools for the big trucks. Well, I mounted a 36" X 30" X 24" at the bottom of my mountain. Back off the start of the driveway up the mountain so it was hard to see unless you knew it was there. It proved to be a great solution for deliveries. I could just run the Ski-Doo down the mountain at last light and haul up supplies.

I just ordered some stuff from Walmart. Miscellaneous stuff - some antacids, staples for my staple gun, etc. The delivery showed up in three days - exactly as they estimated - and all items were thrown into a box. Filling about one third of it's volume. With absolutely zero packing material. One of the containers of antacids didn't make it through the rattling around during transport and had cracked open and dumped antacid tablets and plastic splinters all over the inside of the box. There was no external damage visible to the box. Even a crumpled up piece of newspaper thrown into the box with the contents would have probably prevented this. But they did absolutely nothing, nada, in the packing department.
About the only thing I'd order shipped from WalMart after this episode would be ... of all things ... packing materials. Because they shouldn't have to pack those.
FWIW, Amazon is only marginally better in the packing department. And I do mean "marginally". I certainly wouldn't order anything even minimally breakable from either of these clowns. Not that I would consider a plastic jar of antacids "breakable". Fast or free shipping is meaningless if what you receive is destroyed in transit, especially when it's obvious the cause of the breakage was the sellers non-existent packing.

I have ordered stuff like dog food from walmart and it was no problem, got there really fast, free shipping. I order stuff they are out of or I dont want to drag home ( the dog food) if I don't have to
Someone asked about Temu before and they also so far have a good record with me and I have ordered tons of stuff. I recently ordered solar panels and did one at a time ( half price from other places) to make sure they are ok. They work so far.
Amazon: mostly ok but more expensive lately and I have returned some stuff

Alot of cans are dented. Glass jar of instant coffee broke. Chips never make it . pudding cups busted that was a huge mess.
In the future i am going to make a giant 'mail box' for various deliveries like ups/fedex etc. using a metal 55 gallon drum on its side with lid dropping down like a regular mail box does.
some places offer notification service of delivery for free via text or email...but not really familiar with it..but i do know some seniors get it with their mail delivery....also theres a service you can sign up for..or there was if disabled for wide range of reason for mail to be delivered to door from usps .

sidenote...if anyone not already done it get your Dr. to fill out paperwork and get your handicap placard so even if not driving anyone driving you can park closer in for you at various places without hassle. also get medical I.D. bracelet so LEO's can see it if they approach you so they know you are deaf,blind etc.
They'll sell you one. If you have one of their credit cards to buy it with. Wait...

I try not to buy from Walmart after they tried to stop accepting cash during the scamdemic. With that said when they have what I need or want and no one else does I do order from them and so far they've always delivered USPS, UPS or FedEx. In fact I just ordered a front bike rack from them this morning.

I occasionally order stuff shipped. No delivery problems. If there were other options I'd use them, but for most things we eat / do Walmart is the only/cheapest option left in our area. I do grocery pickup about every 10 days. Saves a lot of time, and I'm less likely to get shot. I still pick out vegetables and frozen foods - because they will let stuff melt and refreeze it, like ice cream.
You can get a virtual cell phone and use your computer. I have a Google Voice account that lets me send/receive calls or texts from my laptop and can forward calls to a landline or cell phone.
WOW........I had no idea that existed.
I use that number for everything online and any time I don't want someone to have my real cell number. You can also use free calling VOIP sites to make calls without even having an account.
