The times we live in have officially made that significant shift. Businesses are cutting their ties with the NRA, stores are changing the way they sell firearms, and even our president is going after guns (bump stocks).

This is what the people want, and so I'm happy it's happening. The majority of Americans want stricter gun laws, and politicians/corporations finally are taking note.

Remember, this is what the people want. That's the most important part about this.

I highly doubt people want this,,,oh the Democrats do and there are things like bump stocks that need to go,,,,raising the age to 21 may help but I doubt it will do much good,,,,,,,,,,

the schools need security to ensure the safety of the children,,,if there had been security on duty at any of these shootings we might not be talking about school shootings at all,,,,,,

but that would cost money and no one is willing to pay the bills so,,,they will go after guns instead

The majority of Americans want stricter gun laws. Even the majority of gun owners want stricter gun laws. Therefore this has been a step in the right direction. I definitely agree that we need to protect the children. Trump is the first president who seems proactive about doing so, and I commend him greatly for his efforts.

what we want is the laws on the books now enforced,,,,and the feds just are not doing their part

I agree it’s a good step. Nothing being done after Sandy Hook Elementary was just wrong. I am surprised it’s taken this long. I don’t know if raising the minimum age to 21 will make a big difference, but at least it’s trying something. Trump wasn’t the first president to want this, Obama tried but got shot down every time. Trump hasn’t actually gotten anything done yet though. So far this is corporations that are seeing it is finally time to take a stand. I hope this momentum continues and some reasonable laws are passed.

I own an AR 15, the rifle itself is a fine multi purpose firearm ,it came with one 30 rd clip I bought a 10 rd clip for it,,,there has never been a rd in the 30,,,,I have no use for the bump stock it is just wasting ammo,,,I don't like the direction this is taking they take one gun away from us it will lead to another and then another,,,,,,,,,,,,,I see this as the year I stock up on ammo and any other rifle I want,,,,we may be seeing the beginning to an end,,,,,,,,,,,,,a sad day for freedom

They haven't taken any guns away from anyone.

just where do you think this is headed,,,if you aren't sharp enough to see it yourself,,,,,,they will push for a ban on all assault type weapons, they just might get it to pass this time around,,,,

I doubt that it ever ever happens. Very unlikely. Even if they banned them, they wouldn't require citizens to turn them over if they already own them. That would be super super unlikely. You have nothing to worry about.

the ban has happened before,it ended in 2004,the Democrats have wanted to reinstate the ban but so far nada,,,,,but with all the mass shootings it can't be that far off,,,,,,and you are right about it not affecting me I have one,a ban will just remove them from the shelf, prices will skyrocket for the plain simple fact that if you want one you will have to find a private sale

in the case of a ban I would not let mine go for less than $1500.00 because you won't be able to buy a new one

Saying it doesn't make it so

The next mass shooting in March will though. As will the constant Media push for disarmament. If you don't think the public is being scared and being led into this, then you simply haven't opened your eyes to it yet.

But, that's OK...by end of March, you'll know I'm right...or you'll still willingly believe that none of it is "planned", etc. Suit yourself, I'm good either way.

Or, by end of March, I'll be wrong. Can I PLEASE be wrong? Can we PLEASE not have any mass shooting in March, or in April, or in May, etc.? I'd LOVE to be proven wrong in this....

I doubt that it ever ever happens.

Let's define "it", shall we?

What exactly do you think "assault weapons" are anyhow? Fully automatic weapons? (these are already mostly illegal). Semi-automatics? (you've just described most hunting guns and pistols on the market).

Maybe just black, scary guns? What if I paint an AR-15 pink, is it OK then?

Such a stupid term anyhow, "assault weapons"....that's like having a "driving car" or an "eating fork".....

Even if they banned them, they wouldn't require citizens to turn them over if they already own them.

No, that comes after. Between the ban and the confiscation, is the registry (which will come with a tax incentive).

The public is being indirectly scared into it, yes. Mass shootings are a big thing in America, so yes, the public is scared into wanting gun control.

if I was into conspiracy theories,if,you could almost guarantee that it's the NWO coming to your door steps..

well I will say this,,,yes we have shootings and no one likes it and there are those screaming for gun control,,,but what other country could you move to and be half as safe as we are in the USA

despite living in one of the safest places, that all important situational awareness is a must!

it's so "easy" for those in power to implement stricter gun laws once you get the gen. pop into hysteria...just be aware..and prep for possible events
