Security in schools and response to tips will be affected . I’m not really for a ban as much as more scrutiny for those that own them, including family members in those households. I believe the sandy hook shooter used his mother’s weapons. I think if your family has an ‘impaired’ member then even then, not a ban per say, but restrictions like a secure safe maybe? Mental health issues are the major reason with school shootings.
I do still think about the gun show I went to. Several thug looking guys together with one guy buying the weapons, as I’m sure he was the only one with a clean record. It’s just too easy for criminals to get guns now.
Another good point brought up here, is enforce current laws. If we had severe gun crime laws, like death on the first offense, I think that would go a long way on the criminal thing. I’m not talking about death row for twenty years either but more like carried out within 30 minutes after conviction.

No, you're not listening....they are being DIRECTLY and PURPOSEFULLY scared into it. This isn't random chance, or people just snapping. Look at the big picture...(and wonder why when these things happen, some other guy is caught before he can do the same thing, often even a similar target...within a day or two before or after).

There is nothing for the Government to do about it . No banning or restrictions . The best thing Government can do is stay out of Private industries. They can secure Our borders and enforce the laws We have .

This is what the people want, and so I'm happy it's happening. The majority of Americans want stricter gun laws, and politicians/corporations finally are taking note.

And years from now, when your grandkids wonder how they ended up being born into their jobs they've been trained for since birth, with no options of diversity, while living in their assigned housing...they can thank you all for it. But then, they'll never really know about it, because it won't be in the state history books.

nope, 100% wrong. The public is scared into wanting gun control due to all the shootings with ridiculous types of guns. We're tired of it and we want change. You're in the minority on this issue and it's not close.

I honestly think it’s a good thing that some corporations are doing something considering our government doesn’t seem capable of anything. I’m not a big conspiracy theorist but have wondered how many politicians have been blackmailed by the NRA? I have little doubt that there are high end escorts involved in some of the meetings these people have, and other ‘perks’.

Well it is FL. Instead, we're voting on whether or not to arm teachers. Sadly, there's a lot of actual GOOD stuff, measures, in that same bill that would be great, but the one part of that, is likely to get the baby thrown out with the bathwater.
