WARNING: Extreme Caution is Required Before Buying Emergency Foods

By Denis Korn
Who Do You Trust!

I need to again alert all those reading this article to be alert, cautious and on your guard when buying so-called long term pouched emergency foods! Tell your family, friends and associates about this post. I have written extensively about the deception and misinformation being delivered by businesses that call themselves emergency and/or survival food companies. I have over 40 years in the natural foods, emergency preparedness and outdoor recreation industries – I know deceitfulness when I see it.

This post is the result of another me-too, mediocre, Utah based (they are in other states also) so-called emergency pouch food company contacting me today to sell their food. While I know there are legitimate honorable food companies in our industry, I am disgusted with those who are fooling customers into thinking they are purchasing foods of value. You have probably realized by now that I am very concerned and troubled by what is happening in our important niche market of emergency foods.

Don't forget, Denis Korn who wrote the article is himself a competitor with who he is scorning here! I am sure if there were a problem with these food buckets FEMA and the Red Cross wouldn't push them and the feds would have stepped in long ago ;)

Also note, these F/D buckets are NOT a primary food source or nutrition, they are to keep you alive not cure world hunger!!

his website: http://www.preparedirect.com/

One of his product: http://www.preparedirect.com/Founder_s_Choice_1_Month_for_1_No_Cook_Assortment_p/fc-one-month.htm

The shelf life for the products he sells, hmm hypocrite? What makes his products better? his word?
"You don’t have to wait for an emergency to enjoy your food supplies, incorporate these everyday foods into your normal menu planning
15-25 years shelf life"

So take it for what it is from Denis Korn

you don't like this guy do you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lol,,,,,,,,

you don't like this guy do you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lol,,,,,,,,

Lol, not that I don't like him, just that when someone scorns a competitor for exactly what themselves are doing I will take issue and call them out :) I never really had a problem with Denis till this self serving article and it's only with this article.

well you can not like everyone,,,,but his pitch is normal most company's will always tell people my product is the best everyone else's is crap,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so I buy from the company that I think is giving me the best deal and ignore the talk
I read an article about all the major companies selling prepackaged foods. I just looked for it briefly, but will try harder later. It wasn't focused as much on quality as much as value. I remember that patriot supply was on the bottom of the list, but can't remember who was on top. Mav is right though, companies bashing others are usually worse than what they are accusing.
