I had seen that there was the potential of tornadoes, maybe Peanut said it. Wow, Frodo! The most important thing is that you survived.

Is there the possibility of storm cellars there, or is the water table too high?
We were worried about getting smashed 😥😥

Thanks for checking in, @snappy1 did too! Has anyone heard from @Swing ??
Sorry guys. A town near me got messed up by an F1 (Athens AL) but I'm okay. I only had heavy rain and seeing some thunder and lightening. I've moved out of the usual path.

During the storm that night the tv weather was airing various traffic cams around the state. When the storm line got to Jasper AL it was actually funny.

There was a line of small trees the city had decorated with christmas lights. From the winds they were dancing in unison like a chorus line for about a minute and a half. The perfect song popped in my head... the Harry Belafonte song 'Jump in Line'

(yes, I have a strange sense of humor)

Really @Peanut i thought you had video of the trees dancing in the breeze.
They were dancing while I was hiding 😂

Day 2. another night.

Hi Frodo,
Hey from New Orleans. Sorry to see what happened to the church - - it's brick and by all accounts you would think could have been fairly sturdy. So sad - - and they had a precious little cemetery to the left of it. Maybe they can rebuild it out of cinder block and it could double as a storm shelter. It's in God's hands. Glad you survived... in New Orleans, praying for you guys.✝️🙏

If I may ask which state?

If I may ask which state?
He is quiet about which state he is in.
...But you can do a search for the call-letters of the TV station in the OP. ;)

Glad you guys are O.K. Meadville made the national news. We have just had rain, but none of the high winds.

Frodo, if you haven't found your glasses say a prayer to St Anthony. He will help you find them.

I think his glasses were on top of his head when he was looking for them. 🤭 Unless there’s a St. Anthony joke…patron saint of lost items, now I know.
I zoomed in on an online map of the area that was hit and it showed dark red dotted lines on two main roads, indicating roads closed.
