i miss my granny. she died in summer of 2020 at age of 99.5 years old. i miss you granny ! once i had a bunch of cabbage to plant and i was crawling in garden planting and here come my granny. she got down in dirt with me.i said granny i get these planted. she said you dont think i let you plant all these by yourself do you? we crawled and planted 500 cabbage plants for me to grow and sale. i love up granny !

i grew up on waltons mtn..literally. i use to watch that show and thought they made the show about my life with my grandparents back then.

Excellent story> I miss my mamaw badly as well. She passed back in 2002. Not many days pass that I don't think about her

i hear the music and in my minds eye all i see is the women in them wrap around dresses back then...!!!
What color was your leisure suit? Mine was insane yellow With a baby blue shirt and pencil-thin bow tie and more fake gold than a New Orleans pimp on check day! I'm not sure the engineer boots went with it though.

Elkhound : I have to say something here, I dislike Tom Patty! LOL, I lived in Florida when he was popular and they constantly played that whiny voice on the radio and I would switch stations as fast as I could hahahah!

I do like things besides metal, here is something from one of my favorite movies:

I'm kind of funny, I will like a single album from an artist and play that to death, but mostly disregard their other work.
For Tom Petty it's "Damn The Torpedoes"
For Billy Joel it's "Glass Houses"
And Sticks it has to be "The Grand Illusion"

I have come to realize I can play my mp3 music over the car radio, so I have pretty much abandoned all radio music at this point.

Damn the Torpedo is about the only Album of Pettys I like.
Styx OTOH I really enjoyed until Mr. Roboto came out. Band broke up not too long afterward. Reformed now with out Dennis De Young. They sound great and have released a new album or 2 in recent years.

Tom Petty, I like all his stuff. STYX, saw in concert 2-3years ago, it was really good. I hadn’t been to a rock concert in years and was impressed with how technology has improved the sound quality and the lighting was impressive as well.

That's funny so many people like him and I really don't

The other band husband used to like and I also hate is the Cranberries. Another whiny voice that will make my ears bleed LOL

Oh wait, one more famous singer I REALLY dislike not for his voice but the music ( elevator and dentist office music eewwwww!! ) Elton John

If we were ever in a car together there would be a big fight over the music hahahaha! That is one point I am not at all compromising or flexible about. I would rather have no music EVER

Oh I dislike ALL Jazz too

Tom Petty has 1 song on each of his albums that I like, maybe two.
The cranberries isn't music. Its an emo in mating season.
Elton has all of TWO songs I like, Saturday nights and rocket man.
