Staying between 45 - 50 degrees most days. An abundance of rain now that we're dealing with those 2 bomb cyclones and atmospheric rivers happening here on the west coast. That's been exciting.

Looks like both the west and east coasts are getting their fair share of precipitation now.

Well, so far, we've not had anything worse than a study rain, but when I saw the weather coming out of the Aleutians that formed this cyclone bomb I think back to 1949-50 blizzard which took place from Washington to the Northwest states, that was wild and then in the early 1960's, when I was stationed at Mc Cord AFB in Tacoma, Washington, there was the Columbus Day wind storm, winds strong enough to strip paint off of a canopy on the back of the pickup we were using to pick up ground support equipment from around the C-124 Globemaster cargo planes and they were all running their engines facing the prevailing wind, I'm pretty sure those two storms also started in the Aleutians as well. I will say this, this is the most rain we've had for many years as we've been in a long drought period, the first day of this storm also brought our first snow, but as of yesterday the snow at our elevation melted away, still some in the higher elevations.

That Columbus day storm knocked down some old barns in western Washington My dad and older brothers were going deer hunting crossing over from the east side of Washington and were amazed with all the trees and buildings blown down.

Since I can find something good about anything, I hate cold weather, but...
As temps have dropped, I actually found something good :)...
When I bring beer in from the trailer to stock the fridge, it isn't 'hot', or even warm! :D

Therm said 57, it wasn't. It was 50 and the windchill was 44. Overcast. Now it is in the 40s (47), feels like 33. People want me to move north where it has snowed a few times already. I am freezing. I might prefer hot. No snowbirds here, eh?
43° out by me!! At least the wind stopped!

Just a Friendly Weather Warning :

"
Just in time for the official start of the holiday shopping season, a blast of cold air will expand its reach from the northern Plains through the Midwest and into much of the eastern United States late this week and this weekend, AccuWeather meteorologists say.

"The cold blast will feel like January and will deliver a significant shock to hundreds of millions of people who may have gotten used to warm conditions during much of the autumn," AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Meteorologist Paul Pastelok said.

Property owners who have not yet finished winterizing plumbing and weatherproofing may want to do so as soon as possible. Freezing temperatures will lunge deep into the Southeast, and the frigid air will be wind-driven and penetrating in the Midwest and Northeast."
