Aww. Looks like the dog is enjoying playing in the snow. I remember when my dogs saw snow for the first time. They thought it was fun to run through but got cold fairly quickly and wanted to come back inside to be warmed up. Of course they jumped on my bed. LOL.

No snow here. Warmed up to 36 and is drizzling rain.

Someone please explain to me ... How two premiere weather reporting agencies get a forecast so wrong?

The Weather Channel and Accuweather BOTH predicted over a foot of snow here today. This was as of 7am this morning. We got about 2 inches of snow, all the rest rain and sleet!!!

It just baffles me to no end. Are they really that inept? If so, why should I ever consult them for upcoming weather.

What an embarrassment!!!

The problem is they are always calling themselves weather experts, and some of us actually fell for that line. The truth is the weather can not be predicted that accurately. Especially out west. Elevation has a lot to do with our weather. It could be raining in town 20 miles away and snowing at out place. A lot of time we get snow when there's a zero chance of precip in our area. I for one find it somewhat refreshing that there's still some mystery to something in this world.

No new snow here but about five inches or so on the ground....bright and sunny today. The folks house sharing with us have a 2 1/2 year old and it is the first snow he has got to play in....their 11 year old had me help him build a short sledding ramp out of some big pallets we have.
Got to enjoy what you have.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse than our low temps :(....
We now have, temps in the low 40's with free side-orders of, drizzling rain, and winds gusting over 25mph! gaah:mad:
