Got some snow in the high country but mostly rain down here low (about 4800 feet). Partly sunny and 37* but suppose to hit 43* later. Time; 11:17 Mountain Standard Time.
Yeah. This early in the season tornadoes just form, lower, then go back up. It's so quick they can't really tell us in advance when or where it will happen. The tornadoes, though, are small and probably wouldn't do huge damage. And I am NOT going to sit around in my safe spot all night. So there's that.

I stayed up until the threat was low enough and it was okay.
Snow and cold are fine. ... I guess I kinda like the excitement of tornadoes. Tornadoes hitting somewhere other than where I am, that is.Whenever I hear about weather like tornadoes I say well snow and cold ain't so bad after all.
Hope all works out for you. Stay safe if you can.Power still out at my place and between 1and 2 thousand others. Walmart out too. High school closed. Major wind and dust storm. It’s bad.

It's absolutely crazy!! I'm really surprised we haven't had more damage!! Our co op electric company has been great about getting the power restored. I'll be glad to see this wind stop!!Power just came back on 15 minutes ago! Went off at 5am in the middle of a tornado watch. No power for 10 hours. Thank gawd it was warm out.
30 mph winds and gusts of 75 mph!!! It was a crazy night. Teeming rain, a couple small hail stones, thunder, mega lightning, and horrific howling winds.
Even now 30 mph wind and 75 mph gusts!
My backyard neighbor lost over a dozen shingles from their roof ... they went into his pool!!! So he was fishing them out for about an hour this morning (I heard him cursing loudly while doing it!!!)
If you want to see at a glance where all the fires in North America are you can click on the map below. I've found it to be quite accurate. Use the wheel on your mouse to zoom in or out to get an exact fix on their locations and how many there are and how much area they each cover. It appears the southern and eastern parts of the lower 48 are being hardest hit right now.Not my area, but hearing many reports of how fast these fires are popping up and spreading!!......... snip .........
