I just came in from checking on Buddy. I feel gritty. Dirt in my teeth, nose, and eyes!

There was a fire just to my north, it's out now. Firefighters still working hot spots! The wind is supposed to calm down some here in the next couple of hours!

High temp was 31 degs, snow and wind all day. Difficult time getting up the driveway. The ice is about 2 feet thick in this section.
BAD TORNADOES IN ARKANSAS AND ESPECIALLY MISSOURI! I KNOW @Morgan101 is fixing to get some BAD STORMS! Not sure exactly where @MoBookworm1957 is, but hopefully she checks in!!
At the moment snowing lightly. Melting in contacting the ground.
For once, or at least this time, Michigan is a safe place from server weather.
I'm sleeping with the hatch open under a comforter.

It's snowing. They're calling for over a foot of snow by Monday.
Devastating night! Daylight will show the horrific damage from the tornado outbreak!! 
The wind and dust have settled down. No tasting dirt when I went outside with Bear! 70° and better today! Everything is covered in thick dust!
Also hoping @Jen , @winds-of-change , and our other Oklahomaians check in, really bad fires across the state!!

Rained all night and now it is snowing. It's supposed to snow all day long.
Cloudy with Temps in the mid 60's. Seems pretty quiet after last night's storm of Biblical proportions. Still have to check outside to see if we had any hail damage
60*, windy, cloudy. High of 70*.
Was horribly hazy yesterday with particulate matter in the air.
Have dust on everything that was near our back door where we had the open screen on the door.

My weather radio started blaring about 2am... and kept it up til daylight. All I got was a shower of rain about 5am. But I got a heck of a lightening show! Finally got to sleep about 6am.
Round 2 starts this afternoon around 3pm. This is the main event!!! I'm sitting in the highest danger zone that can be issued by the weather service. Super cells and long track tornadoes probable... Long track means EF-3's, 4's, and 5's, the big boys!!!!
Might lose a roof or a few shingles with smaller tornadoes... The big ones suck pavement off roads and flatten everything, Fingers crossed!!!

Still snowing here. Supposed to snow non stop until after 1am tomorrow. Then snow almost every day until the end of the month. This is good, we need the moisture.
The party is about to start for me, couple more hours. I'm more worried about the storms at the bottom of this pic than the big ones near the top. Those smaller 'spotty' storms will produce super cells!

Right now there are 4 or 5 tornadoes on the ground in mississippi crossing into alabama. I lost power for about 5 min but it came back on. Gave me time to finish the dishes and toss a load of towels in the washer.
I have a gas stove so I'm having pan fried ribeye steak for dinner with or without power!

So far so good for me... the really good news... Getting heavy showers ahead of these super cells. With tornadoes, like hurricanes, Heat = Power. More heat means bigger and stronger storms.
The rain bands ahead of the cells are taking heat out of the atmosphere. Maybe we'll get through this without any monsters!!! Still have nadoes everywhere, just not monsters!

It is just moving into my area. It seems it may shoot towards the top of Madison Co, and I'm now more towards Owens Cross Roads, other side of Monte Sano, so I may only get a good thunderstorm.

Dodged a bullet! South of me by 10miles. Just called a friend, tornado missed them by about a mile. They could hear it but it lifted. Lots of trees down near Tuscaloosa but was a lot weaker. Was on the ground for about 100miles then it got to the area where we'd gotten a lot of rain before hand. Took the power out of it!!! The weather people say it first touched down near Hattiesburg MS. First long track tornado of the year.
It's back on the ground now, gonna skirt Birmingham on the NW side of the city. Pictures being posted on social media, maybe an EF2. It's going through one of my plant hunting area's as I type.

Dang Peanut. That's too close. Stay aware. I still have the local weather guys and maps on the computer so I can watch for more weather.

It was really bad yesterday. Some big fires and the smoke from those fires were seeding new fires beneath them. The wind was hurricane strength.
We had our car packed with things we absolutely had to have in case we had to run. Thankfully we didn't have to leave, but the fire threat is huge for the next week or so.
Big north wind here in the last hour!
