So as to not derail the thread about Magnus any further (he would be proud of the meandering of it I'm sure), Iet's work on getting a weekly zoom meet up going. Please choose a day and what time of day will work best for you. This poll will run for a week and then we will close it down and work on scheduling the first zoom meetup.

Well, the poll has officially closed with Wednesday evening being the people's choice. Being that we are in different time zones, I'd like to set up the zoom meet up time to accommodate as many as we can depending on their location.

I am leaning toward 7:30 Central Time. That would put us at 8:30 Eastern, 6:30 mountain and 5:30 pacific. Let me know if that time would work for those wishing to participate!

That works for me.
There is another option, instead of doing a Zoom meeting. Someone could host the meeting as a live You Tube video. If anyone has a You Tube channel and is wanting to increase their followers, this might help them. It might also help increase membership on this forum.

Anyone else have a cover over their computer channel? I did this when Sentry mentioned that everyone of his computers had their cameras covered. Some people do not like it when you are in a Zoom meeting with your camera blocked.

Zoom has the option to broadcast via YouTube for those that don't want to sign up for a zoom account. If no one has any objections, I can livestream the zoom meeting via my youtube channel as well.

You Sentry tech was not mistaken, it is a wise idea to either cover your camera if it is built into your laptop/computer or if it is a standalone camera, unplug it. There have been many documented instances where hackers have been able to use the camera to locate a victim based on background information.

Here is the information for next week's first zoom meet up:

And for those that have never used Zoom before, here is a link to their video library. I'd suggest watching the "Joining a Meeting" and "In-meeting Navigation" videos to get started:

Just a reminder of our first zoom meet up this evening! 7:30 Central Time. I'm hoping some can make it, it will be interesting to put a face with the name and avatar!
Don't forget to post the YouTube link as soon as you get it set up if you are going to stream it. :)

Unfortunately, I don't think I am going to be able to livestream to YouTube this week. I wasn't aware that on my account for homesteading I had not activated the live feature. It takes 24 hours to enable it once verification is sent, which I sent this afternoon. So, for this week, no YT livestream, but I will make sure it is set up for next week!
