Craving BBQ, so I ordered in 1lb of smoked brisket and 1lb of smoked chicken on my grocery order, along with some brioche buns and BBQ sauce. I will also make some potato wedges and broccoli-slaw. Soda for the day is Sidral Mundet Apple.

I chopped up nearly every vegetable in the fridge for salad!

Lettuce, carrots, celery, R/G/Y bell peppers, radish, onion, jalapeno, dill, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado.

Will add bacon bits, shredded cheese, glazed walnuts, and croutons.

So, salad for dinner!

Last night I paid way too much for lousy brisket in the big city. I've eaten there several times, always good in the past. Good as in good for east of the mississippi, have to go to tx for great brisket. That restaurant is on my no-go list now, even the service was poor. It's really gone down hill.

Had a great shrimp Po' boy for lunch on the way home today. Also stopped at a bbq place and got a pound of sliced pork butt. So sandwiches tonight, probably tomorrow too.

Got home from shopping too late to actually cook, so the next best thing ...

Pulled a package of Smoked Pulled Pork from the freezer. Will make a couple small sandwiches for dinner.



edit: It was EXCELLENT! Better than I expected. We gave the pups a couple tastes, and they went wild!!!

Had a small piece of red velvet cake and a glass of Eagle Rare Bourbon!

I'm in a good place now.

I made what I thought would be a good veggie, sausage and egg bake. It had a lot of fresh dill in it. It ended up tasting like a dill pickle omlet. Not good, and now I have to eat it under protest, for the next few days to get rid of it.
