Unknown authors with knowledge in loosely related fields, became prolific and fed off each other rapidly solidifying the foundation of (at that urgent point) prepping movement.

I invite students to go to used book emporiums and scarf up everything published from 1950 through 1975 on prepping/survival subject.

Mel Tappan's late 60's early 70's publications are considered the essence of the other authors of that period.

You should look in my last data dump, lots of Mel's work. Lots more that was too big to upload. I like Bradford Angier as well. the older works just seem easier to process mentally. go here:

Pretty much everything Mel Tappan ever wrote.

One source i want to have and plan on getting is full set of foxfire books.I have several but i want full new set for my shelf. This is regional material and i believe its a must have. Its a full set of blueprint for how to live in my area by ones own hands and or with minimal outside help and inputs.I knew old man Taylor Crockett and actually had a dog sired by his stud dog he called Jap.

The wife bought me the Foxfire set a couple of years ago. She knew that I wanted them and would never spend the money.

Tappan on Survival is available in PDF form and can be easily found by google search. His Personal Survival Letters, or PSL, is also compiled in PDF form that might take a few minutes to find. Both are pretty solid references.
