"What IF"....One morning soon, you awoke to discover, that many thousands have been arrested, related to the recent election..??

What if this really turned out to be huge.....??? Asking from a prepping point of view. For the purpose of this thread.......it matters not why. Just that to your surprise, thousands have been arrested overnight, and hundreds are still being sought.

How would you react, what if anything would you do.......as it would relate to your desire to be prepared for the next 2 to 6 months.

Also........what social reactions might you anticipate.......??? Wide spread rioting, labor strikes, government controls, what international reaction, your local community reactions, your friends, and business associates reaction.....???

Would America further fracture, or would this be a common disaster. Would this equal the 9-11 World Trade Towers disaster for America.....???

I think it would be the last day of the United States of America. Some people would perhaps say it still existed afterwords but in reality the country would tear itself apart almost overnight. Every city would burn, sanctions would be levied against the country by foreign powers and the economy would collapse and without an economy, the government would collapse. I would then expect foreign involvment. UN peace keepers, drone strikes. Special forces being deployed to arm and train partisans, advanced weapons deliveries to local militia groups. Everything that we have done in places like Bosnia, Syria, Iraq, but happening here. The country could end up divided up between Russia and China and EU, maybe with Mexico and South America taking back the southern regions.

My reaction would be to align myself with whatever local warlord emerged who seemed to offer the best deal and fight to secure my area against the chaos and hope when it was over we where somehow able to retain something resembling normal life in whatever balkanized territory emerged.

Without knowing the 'why' The why of course, could have a huge effect.

Because the reaction would be so extreme, I view the likelihood of mass overnight arrests in this country as extremely low. Americans have a very low tolerance for those kind of actions and with people so stressed, the reaction would be severe.

Actually I'm not even sure the US has the ability to pull something like that off. The minute it hit facebook the pushback would begin. The way our law enforcement works we would have local law refusing to cooperate. It would have to be military led, but that would require moving troops into place, MRAPS rolling down the streets, obvious major moves that would attract attention and create major fighting even if nobody knew what was going on. In a country as 'liberal' as ours, with as much technology and communication freedom as we have...such a thing would be almost impossible. This is of course, by design. Part of the 'point' of the USA is that it's a place where the government does not have enough power to get away with the kind of mass roundups that are so common elsewhere in the world. We have checks and balances from the top all the way down to the rifle in our closets.

At least not as an opening move.

Now lets say we are a month into a grid down scenario following a false flag cyberattack on the powergrid and have been living under marshal law ever since....I would be surprised if someone in power didn't preform a purge of their rivals. In such a situation they could suppress insurgency and pass it off as necessary, or conceal it entirely.

This is of course why everyone should view any national disaster to creates a climate conducive to a purge....as prequel to one actually happening and make themselves ready for it. No politician would ever let a crisis go to waste, and some would not be above creating one if needed. But even in a 100% natural event like a CME, every faction would immediately be looking into how to use it to seize power, from the family level, to the international.

We are waiting for the morning we wake up and they are in jail! The problems will be world wide. I believe US citizens would be the Ones who couldnt handle the truth. Sure there would be some in other countries who wouldn’t believe it. But most want their freedom. But here, most want to give up their freedoms for some safety. But they do not know what safety that is. With all the msm and the fact checkers online, most here will not believe it. The only way to do so is either martial law or grid down.

I don't think it would matter who was arrested or which party was in office. The "other" side simply would not believe the narrative, regardless of evidence.

Where does that leave us and what would happen? I don't know. But I'd sure as heck step up preps.

Our preps are stepped up. I guess I'd check in with the local sheriff to see what's up. Check with neighbors to discuss road blocking. Make sure we are all carrying. This is assuming they are arresting people like us. But many people around here are people like us.
The US would be gone at that point. If people were being arrested for voting a certain way

If it were to happen we would not know about it, first thing that would happen would be they take down the internet and wireless communications, seize all the server farms to identify sources for subversive posts...

OK.........pretend there was a national election, and there was mid and upper level corruption in that election, in many states. And pretend the FBI was making a lot of arrests, in a lot of states, for corruption, and maybe even insurrection. Here for example is three city officials arrested. So for this thread pretend something like this but in many cities and states.

I agree with most of it but the last part may be wrong,Americans are not as strong physically or mentally as our anceters were. Most of the youth are unhealthysissies through no fault of their own.

True but not that many. My youngest grandson has always been in baseball and now backyard fighter,which gets him into lots of trouble with his parents,he got the heck beat out of him about a week ago,he is 15 6'5" but skinny as a rail but I hear a graet fighter but no knowledge of guns so that may not help him.Most will have guns.

I'd say the complacent majority of us is who is responsible. For leaaders who protect cartels and their allies.

Thats because Texas is still hanging in there with thier guns. Still major cities are starting to decline. Plus you have many who are leaving California coming in.

The more prepared we are in all of life's needs the easier it will be to adapt to the circumstances.

This may or may not be true all according to whos aafter you. But you may be in one of the best places in the south.

Housing availability here is slim pickings!, whether renting or buying. A few major corporations have moved headquarters to the metro areas, the liberals will want to go to Austin. Altho Dallas is like Los Angeles.
