What type mineral for mixed flock goats and sheep? Molasses tub , block or sack? should it have copper? if so how much?
sheep do not need copper goats do
so you need to either get different bags of loose mineral for each ( they sell them at any farm store or Tractor supply)
or get sheep mineral and give the goats seperate copper bolus
( we have them seperated so I get some for the sheep and some for goats ) plus we usually have a plain salt block in the pastures
cattle mineral or blocks are ok for goats only since it also has a lot of copper

how is the snot nosed goat doing?

She is doing great.

I like to eat both sheep and goat. Lamb has more fat than goat. I will probably seperate has i get more cross fence complete.
I actually like the goat meat better, but lamb is good too. What kind of sheep do you have?

Sheep are pretty easy to fence ( goats NOT) . We use 4 strands of electric tape for temporary fencing along the road and behind the house for the sheep . It usually keeps them in. The goats would just go through it, under it or jump over.
Wooden pallets work great for cheap gates on those and nobody jumps over those ( not even the goats) .

Selenium: I give all our babies .5 ml of Bo Se and Vitamine B complex, soil here is deficient of selenium and they do better with the B ( injected under skin the day after they are born). Learned this at vet school, we took a class there when we first started
