Are you talking about if you buy something, your friends, neighbors, family end up getting the same thing or similar? Probably a topic for a new thread but it happens to me all the time.
well sort of, Years ago my main compressor wore right out, found a really cheap one on sale, then found the parts to build a couple of really decent ones, out of "junk''. that kind of thing.
 
Just curious, with the 2 12kw generators (without fuel), your solar panels, batteries, controllers and inverters, how many dollars have you invested in your setup?
I'm just guessing here, maybe around $65-$75k+. The nearest power lines to us is about 5 miles away, and across National Forest lands. So going with solar was our only option.

So my system is kind of the flip side of yours with maybe $8-10k invested and it also runs my small house. Only 2 miles from power lines but the right of way to get power in here was obscene, not that I ever intended to but the ex wanted to know.
