That recipe sounds like it'll do, Havasu. We don't have any vegans, but do have a vegetarian daughter, so I'm pretty used to cooking for her. She does well with all the side dishes on Thanksgiving. I make her a cream gravy for her mashed potatoes and stuffing, while we have turkey gravy. I make sure I use vegetable broth in the stuffing instead of chicken broth. Will be missing her this year, she can't get the time off work. But she did just text for the pie crust recipe. She knows how to make a good pie.

We are eating out, so I will get whatever I want. It is somewhat of a tradition, and goes back to when my MIL and FIL were still alive, and in reasonably good health. There is a story I won't bore you with. We skipped Thanksgiving completely last year, so I was even looking forward to it, until I found out all of the people my useless SIL invited. Now my son refuses to go, and I don't blame him. I would rather stay home with him and watch football.

Turkey (already baked, sliced and frozen-thawed and heated), cornbread dressing, green bean casserole, rolls (leftover from a Church dinner-thawed and heated), sweet potato casserole (leftover from last Sunday Church dinner- thawed and heated), banana bread- thawed and heated.
So aside from dressing and green bean casserole, we're having leftovers. LOL
I might thaw out a roll of cookies and bake--you guessed it (frozen from last year)

I make world famous turkey and stuffing. The stuffing is from scratch that includes apple, raisins and cranberries, among other secret ingredients. It takes me almost 2 hours to make the stuffing, and I use it to stuff the turkey. So I will be getting up early, but I always wake up early.

The wife makes yukon gold mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, kale, corn, roles, gravy, rice, and a couple different pies.

I'm putting my feet up and taking a break. Bottom of the jello layer is setting, dressing is made, sweet potatoes with orange sauce are baking, half of tonight's dinner is prepped, just mashed the pumpkin I cooked yesterday, and am getting ready to cook a couple of pies. Anyone see Townsend's youtube on pumpkin pie? Recipe similiar to mine, but I add some evap milk, and a little white sugar instead of molasses, but mine look alot like that.

Never heard of Denver chocolate pudding. Do you have a recipe?

Denver chocolate pudding is a very old recipe. Some people call it pudding cake.

3/4 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
1 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
7 Tbsp cocoa powder, divided
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 c milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 c cold coffee

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan. Sift together in a medium bowl, 3/4 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and 3 Tablespoons of cocoa powder.
Melt butter and add to flour mixture. Stir in milk and vanilla extract blend well and pour into prepared pan.
Over the top without mixing, scatter 1/2 cup white 1/2 cup brown sugar that has been blended with four Tablespoons of cocoa powder. Pour the cold coffee over the top of the pudding. Bake 40 minutes.

I'm making a turkey tenderloin, box stuffing mix and green beans (not that disgusting casserole lol).
I also have a loaf of Italian bread to warm up to go with it.
We don't do desserts

Thank you. Is this a family recipe, or maybe a recipe that was clipped from a newspaper or magazine? I want to save it to my recipe blog, with your permission.
