My boots have hit the ground all over this rock, usually with a rifle in my hands, but no one gave me a tour of the Kremlin or shared the inner thinking of Russian leadership. I have to assess their motives by their actions and the actions of others known to be corrupt.
I made my assessment by talking with ordinary people.....and looking at the propaganda they are subject to....and have been for a couple of decades.
Unlike the propaganda that the Russians peddle outside Russia, the stuff they push inside Russia tells their people that the
people of the USA and the West are evil.....and that is to prepare Russians for the time when they will be at war with us.

Well, the Russian news organization RT kept reporting the Abu Ghraib story
for years after it happened.....like it was breaking news.....like it had just happened. They did that because it was Gold for them. It made it look like the US Military were evil sex deviants.
They didn't do that to turn Russians against the US leadership......they did that to turn the Russians against the US people.
Russian propaganda is aimed at making Russia motivated and militarily strong and making the US and the West weak.
No more....no less.

Saddam Hussein was the enemy of the US.....did that make him your friend?

What about Charlie Manson? He was anti USA....was he your friend?
