"WHY" is Gain of Function, so important...??? (And is it fundamentally "EVIL").

When you perform evil or questionable science, you need countries with laws that do not restrict or dissuade evil or questionable science. Yet one more reason why the liberal and RINO elite are so protective of Ukraine.
Is it possible that in my foggy memory that I remember seeing that America had over 300 of these "covert" Gain of Function laboratories in Ukraine.
What is it they are searching for. As I understand we (America) had or still have hundreds of/or thousands of these "Gain of Function" laboratories scattered all over the world. It somehow seems like a search for "EternaL Life". What else could drive an obsession of that magnatude.....???
To be clear, I am looking for understanding of this "Gain of Function" wild & massive search. Who are these people, what is their objective...???

These laboratories are (in theory) all over the world. Allegedly many in the country of India.
The global elite are enamored with population control. It provides them with several products to sell. The poison, the protection, the pill, the prevention and more. And in the process they instill fear, control and kill off people to keep global resources in check.

Since the use of chemical and bio weapons in warfare was banned by the Geneva convention decades ago, the bio-labs 'legitimate' purpose was to create likely viruses that the bad-guys would use to attack us, so we would already have the technology to quickly produce a 'vaccine' for it.

Americans do gain of function in other countries because they can't do it here. And they use tax payer money to fund it. Like Fauci did with covid in the labs of Wuhan. Rand Paul did a ton of meetings with Fauci you can see on youtube about this. First Fauci denies it, then admits it.
Guess I do have some intuition skills.

Yep. They have to modify the viruses like the 'bad-guys' would do, in order to research them.
Before the 'bad-guys' can release a bioweapon, they must first have a vax to make their troops immune.

There are multiple arguments in favor of gain of function research:

In the lead up to 2019, there was a lot of debate in the research community about gain of function. Many considered it inherently risky. Many considered that some nations couldn't be trusted with it.......due to military/government co-opting of the science....or even just due to culture and incompatibility with the sorts of protocols that make L4 labs safe. Many nations questioned if China could be trusted with L4 facilities. French researchers were given the job of training the Wuhan staff.....at the end of which, they reported they still lacked confidence in the safety of the researchers there and the facility as a whole.
Covid 19 almost certainly accidentally escaped from the L4 facility in Wuhan.....and was most likely subject to at least some gain of function work.
We were all just lucky that the multiple mutations that occurred after the escape, made the virus progressively less severe.....if it had mutated into something with a high mortality rate, then we would have all been toast.
Is gain of function "evil"........I doubt the researchers doing it think it is.......but it could be used to do evil things......and those that think they can control that use are arguably naive.
- Testing treatments for current and potential illnesses is technically challenging. "Amplifying" the effects of a pathogen makes it easier to assess the success of vaccines, antibiotics and other test treatments. If these amplified agents can be safely contained, the overall outcome is faster and better (and hence cheaper and more profitable).....but they usually need higher levels of containment....like a Level 4 Bio-research facility (like the one in Wuhan).

Those doing GOF are not doing it to save the world, they are doing it to use as a population modification tool.

It is common for researchers to fail to see the big picture.
It is known as "not seeing the forest for the trees".
They just focus upon a few pieces of the jigsaw puzzle and try to overcome the direct challenges of that.

A country can not simply attack another with nuclear weapons without immediate retaliation. However, a country could cause devastation with biological weapons and perhaps remain anonymous.
The US used to perform experiments in this area on our own citizens, mostly military, however they did do aerosol dispersion tests of inert nerve gas in the New York subway system for example.
And then there was Operation SHAD using unsuspecting Navy ships as guinea pigs. Look it up.
As a victim of Agent Orange i have studied this extensively. The American public would be shocked if any honest journalists dig into the public record on this. There's a lot out there.

I remember a college in the northeast saying they had the Corona Virus and manipulated it (GOF) to a point of 90% mortality. Why? What are college students doing this for? Passing grades? I don't believe it's so much about warfare as population control. Every year the world elite get together and decide who gets what and who doesn't. Who gets a virus and who gets a vaccine. We need Holland to kill all it's cows off so we can control the food better. We need to pay farmers to let their fields lay fallow so we don't have enough grain to feed the people. Our cattle are passing gas and contributing to global warming, kill them now!!!
