Russia's desperation is apparent to the world as Little Rocket Man is now on his armored train enroute to meet with Putin . The meeting is to take place to discuss North Korea furnishing Russia with weapons as it appears the drone and missile attacks on Russia's weaponry by Ukraine / NATO has severely diminished Russia's available weapons and ability to make more weapons . No doubt Putin fears bringing North Korean infantry into the conflict as they might turn to capture and absorb Russia . But we will see if Putin will try to use North Korea troops , in the " World War Three " . --- Interesting times we are in for preppers , horrific for non-preppers . This is only the early stages of World War Three . It will get much more interesting . --- If someone wants confirmation go to my last post on the Russia / Ukraine thread .

From experience know some folks when faced with something such as a Nuclear World War Three , go into denial . However the information on my above link seems to now being leaked by various sources like a old rusty bucket springing leaks . I could provide more links to the expanding World War Three but I think perhaps if individuals ferret out the information for themselves they might find it more acceptable .

Russia has now sent the second armed drone into Romania . The second attack exploded but no reported casualties . --- I have not as of yet found verification of the second attack so , it may or may not be truthful .
It has now been confirmed , The second attack on Romania did take place . Questionable though if it was accidental or deliberate .

Just in case someone didn't believe a Nuclear World War Three was coming , thus didn't prepare for something that serious , thought I would throw out the need for clothes during the Mad Max existence . In my stash are bolts of cloth for making clothing . Tanning and making clothes from animal skins will be time consuming . That time could be better spent putting out of their misery those that failed to prepare .

My wife's teeth aren't that good so I don't think I could get her to chew hides for my new clothes to get them to the softness I would like .

bring it on poltergoose, I'm covered

--- A summary of part of what will be found in this link . Romania has now been struck with a third Russian drone . The Pentagon earlier " today " Sep. 14 th issued 16 urgent take action messages to United States " Nuclear Submarines . " Anyone that doesn't have the ostrich plan should watch this .

What to Know About Potassium Iodide for Nuclear Radiation Emergencies

Potassium iodide (KI) is a salt that can help protect you from radioactive iodine. Your thyroid gland is the part of your body that’s most sensitive to radioactive iodine. Potassium iodide can help block your thyroid from absorbing radioactive iodine if you are exposed to it.

But the salt doesn’t protect the rest of your body from radioactive iodine, only your thyroid. It also can’t reverse any health issues caused by radioactive iodine if your thyroid was already damaged.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released guidance in December 2001 on how to safely use potassium iodide. In pill or liquid form, it can help protect you during a nuclear radiation emergency.

How Does Potassium Iodide Work?

If you’re in an area that’s had a radiation emergency, the most effective option is evacuation. But potassium iodide can act as an extra measure to keep you safe.

When you take potassium iodide, your thyroid gland absorbs it. If you get the right amount at the right time, it will saturate your thyroid gland. This can help block any inhaled or ingested radioactive iodine from being absorbed by your thyroid. This lowers your risk for radiation damage to that gland.

When Should You Take Potassium Iodide Pills?

Only take potassium iodide if state or local health authorities suggest you do so. During an emergency, health officials will send out an announcement. Your health department will then tell you when it’s OK to take potassium iodide. They’ll also tell you when you can stop the medication.

You’ll take potassium iodide before or right after you’re exposed to radioactive iodine. You could also take it 3 to 4 hours after, but it won’t be as effective.
It’s important to take the medication once a day until the risk of radiation exposure no longer exists. Don’t take larger amounts or extra doses unless experts recommend to. A larger amount of potassium iodide won’t protect you more from radioactive iodine. Too much of the medication could put you at a higher risk for side effects.

Guidance is slightly different for everyone:

Infants and young children. Newborns and children are most at risk for a thyroid injury from radioactive iodine. Those with low amount of iodine in their thyroid are also likely to have thyroid damage.

Because of this, it’s important to give children, especially newborns, potassium iodide during an emergency.

People who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It’s also crucial that pregnant and breastfeeding individuals take the proper dose of potassium iodide to protect themselves and their baby.

Young adults. This group is less sensitive to the potential damage from radioactive iodine. But it’s still important for them to take the medication.

Adults. People over the age of 40 should only take potassium iodide if their public health officials state that there will be a very high amount of radioactive iodine contamination. This group has the lowest risk of thyroid cancer or thyroid injury after radioactive iodine exposure. They’re also at the highest risk of an allergic reaction or adverse effects from potassium iodide.

How Much Potassium Iodide Should You Take?

You should take a different amount of potassium iodide based on your age and weight. There’s a liquid form, a 65-milligram pill, and a 130-milligram pill. For kids and babies that can’t take pills, you can crush or cut pills to create smaller doses. Or you can give them a liquid form of potassium iodide.

Follow these dosing guidelines:

Adults 18 years old and up:
  • Take one 130-milligram pill of potassium iodide, or
  • 2 milliliters of liquid potassium iodide, or
  • 2 tablets of 65-milligram potassium iodide

Children 12 to 18 years old who are over 150 pounds:

  • Take one 130-milligram pill of potassium iodide, or
  • 2 milliliters of liquid potassium iodide, or
  • 2 tablets of 65-milligram potassium iodide

Children 12 to 18 years old and less than 150 pounds:

  • Take one 65-milligram pill of potassium iodide, or
  • 1 milliliter of liquid potassium iodide, or
  • Half of a 130-milligram potassium iodide tablet

Children 3 to 12 years old:

  • Take one 65-milligram pill of potassium iodide, or
  • 1 milliliter of liquid potassium iodide, or
  • Half of a 130-milligram potassium iodide tablet

Children 1 month to 3 years old:

  • Take half of a 65-milligram potassium iodide tablet, or
  • 0.5 milliliters of liquid potassium iodide, or
  • A fourth of a 130-milligram potassium iodide tablet

Newborns to children 1 month old:

  • Take a fourth of a 65-milligram potassium iodide tablet, or
  • 0.25 milliliters of liquid potassium iodide, or
  • An eighth of a 130-milligram potassium iodide tablet

It can be hard to cut pills. In an emergency, experts say that it’s safe for children at school or day care centers to take a whole pill of potassium iodide. If possible, it’s better that kids under 12 take the 65-milligram pill. But it’s still safe to have them take the 130-milligram pill if it’s the only one available.

Are There Any Side Effects From Potassium Iodide?

In general, most people can take potassium iodide without any problems. But it’s always important to talk to your doctor before you use it. If you have certain medical conditions, it might not be a good idea to take the medication.

Real miso soup is good for your entire body for radiation poisoning.

This video no doubt will leave most of our members angry as it is not the narrative that they have been fortifying by exchanging it with each other . What was that narrative about Ukraine was running out of men on the battlefield ? Now German soldiers in German tanks have been found fighting in the so called Ukraine / Russian War . --- Getting a-feared , angry or denial is up to the individual . Foreseeing such matters decades ago gave me ample time to prepare for what is now unfolding .

He calls wolf way too many times to continue following. . . but you go ahead. Maybe one day his words will come true. I tend to listen to other commentary on the war that is happening, and yes it is esculating more than I would like for sure. I just don't buy into the continuous scare tatic Canadian Prepper is peddeling. He does that for his benifit.

I think it's a good fairly accurate video, the written commentary, not so much...

Theatrics " yes " . However I prefer to prepare for the worst so seek out the worst . I don't expect " no man or no woman to be accurate 100 % of the time . However Right now I can't recall a single thing " Canadian Prepper " has reported on that wasn't later verified as being accurate . Perhaps someone can enlighten my dimming memory of something he said that later proved to be not true .

Look at it this way, if you do a video on HOW to be prepared, it is good for a long time. These guys make videos every two or three days about how the nukes are incoming. You don't make nearly as much money on a few HOW to be ready videos as you do on hundreds of "OMG, seek shelter immediately" videos. If you go to their channel and scroll through their videos, they are littered with "this is it" videos; for which they get paid.

5 months ago, Ukraine had ten days..

question - We all know televised news outlets are controlled by Communist , dictating what they are allowed to report or demanded to report . Now I find that skirting around these outlets to gain information via the web is also being deemed not acceptable . So the question is what information source is acceptable by the prepper community ?

What Oddcaliber said. We are here because we know SHTF is coming. We are prepared for many things. We monitor and report "news" as it happens so we can be better prepared. I like to post news stories so they don't disappear, so the dem members who lurk can see what their party is doing to destroy our country, and to paint a big picture so we can identify trends/prep. Many of the things that get posted here are fact. Knowing the difference between fact and opinion is critical. It is what made me see the light about the democrats and legacy media. The way they covered Trump turned my stomach, and showed me they were nothing but propaganda.

I think those guys on Youtube take a little truth and stretch it for dramatic effect, and money. I like to watch some of their stuff to see what they are going on about, but I take it with a grain of salt, knowing the intent. But when a guy says he has "intel, don't go to sleep" then nothing happens for a month......

So many phsyops occurring. I know it's confusing and overwhelming. All information can be useful, sort through it. General advice I'll give is Be Prepared to act when your think you need to. Have the tools, knowledge and courage to do the tasks you have learned may be needed.

For me, all the news is BS directed towards their particular agenda. I know the S is going to hit the fan, so I keep it simple. Prep the best I can. It does not matter when it is going to hit the fan, we can't change the direction or outcome. I will not lose any sleep worrying. It will be want it will be. I will focus on what I can do to prepare and that is all I can do.
