A lot of cut outs and grooves and stuff!! Hoping a salvage yard has it somewhere!
 
After some more cleaning, (Hubby has the body and hood off of it) he rigged the little gas tank again and started it. The Kohler sounds great. He pressed the forward pedal with a stick, it moved just fine, is now checking out the old clutch better!! The rear end oil was full but is black, the tranny bottle is very low, but looks clean! He's probably going to stop messing with it today and get the transaxle back in the old Craftsman and get it back to going first.

Oh come on , couple of bolts in the seat/ fenders jam something in the clutch and mow some grass, no switching projects
