It's more of a reflection of who I am. I've always been somewhat off the beaten path. Did have 8mm Mauser for a long while but my truck needed new struts.

I totally understand.
I never fit in anywhere growing up.
Even today the only place I fit in is with other veterans and the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous.
I don’t do well with “regular “ people.

Neither does my wife of 35 years which is why we live on a dead end dirt road six miles outside a one stop light town.

Edited to add: 8MM Mauser is one of my favorites. I have two German and one Turk.

Personally, I'm a fan of the larger cals (ie: 300WM, 338 LP, 45-70, 50 cal, etc) I figure 'Get 'er Dun'.. OTOH, Higher Velocity certainly makes strong counterarguments in the real world (ie: 6.5 CM - LOVE IT! Currently trying to argue with this pesky little devil on my Left shoulder who keeps poking me to get into an Awesome AR cham'bd in 450 BM, but.. It's always good to 'question the wisdom of yet Another, non-redundant niche caliber', but.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We'll see what happens..
