Sending illegals to Gitmo? Yeah, let the courts chew on that one for a while. It's just a temporary place to stash the illegals until we can put up some tents in the desert surrounded by razor wire. By the time the court review is complete, your tent city will have been built and Gitmo will be irrelevant.
Will the millitary be doing perverse sexual things to the detained like when it was used for men from the middle east?
Yuck.

Typical... more concerned with the criminals than his neighbor's daughter or wife...

https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/cbp-enforcement-statistics/criminal-noncitizen-statistics

221 convictions of sexual crimes last year... 43 in the last 2 months. This doesn't include reported or unreported crimes without arrests or convictions.

Gitmo is a great place to send the felonious illegal aliens.....and a great place for those gov officials that harbored them in city's and states.....After all if these mayors and governors tell us the illegals are just here to work they must be perfectly safe to bunk with.

I was just curious if strange sexual practices would be employed.
I said nothing about should we shouldn't we put them at gitmo.

BUT, sending US citizens to foreign prisons is clearly unconstitutional.
(1) Illegals are not US citizens.
(2) Gitmo is not a foreign prison. It is a US military holding facility located on land in Cuba that is leased to the US, and under US control.
(3) I am unfamiliar with the clause in the US Constitution that says you can't send US citizens to foreign prisons (even though Gitmo is not that). That clause may indeed be in the Constitution, but I've never had a desire to research it to find out.

Ok wake up time, Governments cause as much problem as criminals, oh wait they are criminals, until people learn this stuff will stay like it is, the US government as well as most world government are under the control fo a bunch of cult members , thet maskerade as world **** organizations. Rules and laws dont seem to apply .

Why do we allow such behavior?
If the illegals don't like US prisons, maybe they would be happy if we deport them to a neutral territory not owned by any country? Like Antarctica? We wouldn't even need to build prisons there. We could just let them "free range". Allowing them that level of freedom should keep them quite happy.

Prison is stopping such behavior by the criminal citizens or illegals... That's the point of prison, stop them from preying on our families.
I understand what it means on the street.
Our tax dollars pay for those prisons. Why are we allowing it to take place in prison on our tax dollar?

Governments cause as much problem as criminals
Probably true. But since we don't want BOTH government and criminals harassing us, we should let the government get rid of the criminals first, then we can get rid of the government after that. Previously, the government was loathe to get rid of criminals. But under Trump they are making marked gains in that area. So we should just run with it a bit, let the new government do what they can, before getting rid of them.

I'm all for replacing prisons with used sleeping bags, under blue tarps, held up by sticks, out in the desert, surrounded by razor wire. This arrangement would be a lot cheaper than prisons.

The prison is not the point.
How we run those prisons is the point.

Nope. Not Gitmo. In the case presented below, it is El Salvador. But a few days ago Venezuela was mentioned.
Foreign prisons. US CITIZENS, not illegals.

This first link enumerates what part of the Constitution this runs afoul of.
The quotes by Trump make clear that he knows this would be illegal.

There are many more articles available, from The Hill, AP News, and others.

Be careful, trump just MAY be an enemy of freedom and liberty.

You do realize that are work camps in Antarctica that have up 1200 or so people. Of course they'd freeze to death before they could walk more than about a mile. The cost of getting there is extremely high too.

I think you are confusing "a Trump plan" with simple hyperbole.

I just engaged in some hyperbole myself. When I suggested sending illegals to Antarctica. That was tongue-in-cheek of course. Not a serious proposal. Same as Trump's comments about leaving our nastiest criminals in foreign prisons.

You weren't taking either of us seriously/literally were you? That is a mistake that liberals make all the time (they have so much false outrage and zero sense of humor).
