He as changed out the leadership positions (Secretaries and Assistant Secretaries), but he has yet to cull out the Upper Level Puppets (The Deputy Assistant Secretaries and Senior Executive Service members) who actually run the programs... He fired all the new hires, mostly folks just out of the Armed Forces or new College Graduates just starting their families. The first RIFs will cull out the working class stiffs (many of whom voted for Trump) with 5 to 10 years of service in, but that will not cull the Upper Level Puppets who will be running those RIFs, so their "darlings" may still be protected. A second wave of Reorganizations and RIFs of the Upper Level Puppets will still need to happen to get where they want to go. No, he will not fully achieve his goal before Christmas.

But, you will see National Parks and lots of other things closed due to staffing shortages this summer.

So SSA, FBI, TSA, FAA, CIA, NSA, ATF, IRS, NIH.... should all be shut down? I suppose you are right is would save a lot of money.
Then again they could eliminate the Executive Branch, Congress, and the Judicial Branches and just move ever thing to the states as laid out in the Articles of Confederation?

I would keep the military , you do have to defend the country. ( but only have it defend this country and borders)

think about this , if the $ completely crashes, all those are going away anyway

I would defend Hawaii and Alaska for defense purposes. The US as a whole would have a better larger military than individual States

It's a great survival/horror game, and there are bits of truth there, too.

heres a tid bit of history...the port of Charleston was one of main ports before civil war..the tariffs and duties collected there funded 70% of the federal govt at that time...its one reason war broke out...the deep south left in first round....and then the next round rest of south left.

feds wont let it happen.

dont know about now...but see why...the cash cow where ever it is wont be allowed to go independent ever...without some type of a fight from govt and more.
