1965 Chris - Craft 22' Sea Skiff.

This is a really nice, original 22' Sea Skiff, with 210 Hp 327 Chris-Craft V-8 showing fewer than 700 original hours. The 22' Sea Skiff is an interesting boat, in that it's only a foot shorter but substantially smaller than a 23' Sea Skiff, making it easier to handle, and easier to use as a trailerable boat. New solid mahogany king plank, fresh varnish and bottom paint. A good usable family boat. Includes storage trailer. Priced at $24,900.

How many outboards should your boat have?

Those outboards look like the Mercury 350 Verado Cold Fusion supercharged. A quick search claims the minimum allowed price by Mercury is $28,895.00 EACH.
That is $260k just for the 9 outboards. I don't know what kind of boat that is but I bet the outboards cost way more than the boat.

They probably are higher price than that boat. That boat with all them Mercury outboards should fly. Would have to have a lot of money to own that.

I got this for free, but no outboard. It had an 85hp, manufacturers build plate claims 115hp capable. Price of a used outboard is about double what the boat is worth. But, it has the 12volt trolling motor up front so it will work in the reservoirs for fishing and relaxing until I get rich, or lucky.

Nothing wrong with that price you got it for. Looks like it's in good shape too. Motors are overpriced, but who knows you may come across one for it, and at a good price. Till then at least the trolling motor will work for fishing.:)

Years ago I serviced CT’s in the LA basin. I made great money but a single guy still couldn’t afford a house payment. A co-worker figured out a way around that. He covered the coast from Venice Beach to Ventura to San Luis Obispo. He bought a 52’ Coastal cruiser, had it docked in Ventura. His slip fees covered cable tv, sewage/water/garbage, phone. The boat was about 15yrs old, think he paid about $60K, monthly payments were cheaper than an apartment. It was a nice boat, the main cabin had a queen size bed, a guest room, plenty of room in the galley, it didn’t feel anymore cramped than my apartment.

The down side… he’d never been on anything but a bass boat, a Wisconsin boy. That’s where I came in. When the oil industry crashed in 1980, I had a 100ton master of vessel license. I knew how to handle 125ft industrial boats and navigate at sea.

He like to go out to the Channel Islands which included Catalina. Problem, he couldn’t get his boat out of the slip. Every time he wanted to go out he called me. I was the permanent guest on his boat.

I taught him a lot over the next year but he was still a danger to everyone around when trying to dock in a strong cross wind. His boat had twin inboard diesels which makes it easy to walk a boat sideways but can be tricky in a strong wind.

This boat was similar to his…

The historic Steamer Belle of Louisville, built in 1914, is the oldest Mississippi River-style steamboat in the World. Still making excursions on the Ohio River it is an impressive sight.

Wife and I got married on the left hand deck corner just above the paddle wheel in 1984. We had a blast. There was a smaller boat across the river that was blasting out old man river during the whole ceremony.
We went back a couple times for an evening cruise. That is a nice boat. Well it was then anyway

I like the Otta, it has a raised cudy type cabin so you can get in out of the weather or even spend the night on the boat.I really liked out little cuddy cabin 1961 Larson. The cabin was on the deck so we always had a breeze come through.Unlike most cabin crueisers with lower deck cabins.
Our friend had one and it was like being inside and oven under there.

Boats are nice but can be hard to keep up. We had a 24' cudy cabin SeaBird inboard outboard with two twin 120 GM engines . Kids and grandkids loved times on the boats and we did too.

The military has very talented photographers in its ranks, and they constantly attempt to capture what life as a service member is like during training and at war. This is the best of what they shot this week:
