If DeSantis pulls this off I would vote for him over Trump. Don’t get me wrong, I do support Trump, just feel he is getting too old to fight the good fight. DeSantis is just getting started! DeSantis isn’t pushing the vax either.
Trump did not fight in the end. He is still supporting the clot shots for those who want it. He is done.
Trump is still supporting the right for people to decide for themselves. Anything else would be a reason for the left to attack him politically. What would you ask of Trump? To take away free choice and say that nobody should have the shot? I do hope DeSantis runs, but unfortunately, that might be the thing that makes the left win. The left would love to see two good republican candidates running as that would split the vote. I like Trump, but DeSantis has the political experience to destroy the left and the backbone to not back down, and I would hope that if he runs, Trump would stand aside and support DeSantis knowing what would happen in the event they both fight for it.
Trump promotes the shots. He believes there's nothing wrong with them. His credibility and judgement is in the toilet. He needs to denounce the use of these deadly shots and admit he was duped and believed the lies, but has since realized he was wrong.

My guess is Trump was gobsmacked by the theft of the election, lack of RINO spine and only then realized the depth of the traitors amongst his whitehouse staff. He didn't know who he could trust because he trusted some of the wrong people. In that situation, when NO republicans in a position to do anything did anything, I believe I would have retreated to fight another day. I like DeSantis just fine but lets not pretend we all haven't thought and wondered why the border state governors weren't loading illegals up by the bus load and paying their one way ticket to blue states. But yes, DeSantis may be the first to run with this idea.

The Polish and the Hungarians finally got together and drove the Ottoman Turks out of Europe after 400 years of their influence here. Spite: Joe Biden would rather let border wall materials rot on the ground than sell them to Texas
Joe Biden doesn't want to build a border wall. We all know that he says as much and that he's been captured by the vast open borders industrial complex.
One problem for Joe, though: That dereliction of duty has driven his poll numbers straight into the toilet. His public approval is falling, with disapproval of his handling of the border crisis now at an all-time high. Longtime Democrat Hispanic strongholds in south Texas are now turning red, and the illegals are surging on in.
Amazingly, he has the wherewithal to fix that problem, but not the brains.
He's got a partially built border wall in possession now, and a lot of building materials for it, paid for by U.S. taxpayers for millions of dollars, rotting on the ground, like this is some third-world country that ran out of cash before finishing its project.
Instead of fixing that, and quietly selling the materials to someone else who will finish the wall, he's creating problems:

They're pulling in five-figure smuggling "fees" from well-heeled would-be illegals in a market signal of supply and demand. Seems there aren't enough cartel criminals to "service" the illegals until the Border Patrol can take care of them and send them onto their destinations of choice in the states, so their prices are going up:

So not only does he not want the wall, the most effective instrument there is for stopping the border surge, he also doesn't want anyone else to build the wall, either. That's like abusive boyfriend behavior, which I wouldn't put past Joe with his sex-harassing and worse history.

It makes sense since the surges are bringing in COVID from unvaccinated migrants, causing food shortages in border towns, overwhelming social services agencies and non-government organizations, and destroying the quality of life of the local residents who live there.
