A few years ago I was driving around backroads down in Arkansas and I saw what I thought was a Super Bee frontend peaking out from behind a barn. I had to stop and at least talk to the owner about it. The old man that came to the door knew exactly why I was there I guess he could see it in my eyes. He made me sit on the porch and talk an hour or before he would take me to look at the car. We talked about gardens and such and he gathered me up some flower bulbs he wanted me to take home and plant. Finally he took me down to look at the car it was a 383/727 auto Coronet RT bucket seats and console car he had driven it from California when he moved to Arkansas years before when he had moved there and parked it. The car only had 25,000 miles on it the interior was covered with bed sheets but the outside was sun faded and the tires were sunk into the mud to the wheels it had sat there that long. I finally got around to asking the price and he said he would take $9000 it was more than I wanted to pay at the time so we parted ways and I went home. I kept thinking about the car for a few months and couldn't get it off my mind so I scratched together the money and headed back. He had sold the car a few weeks before I returned but we still set set on the porch for a couple of hours and told big stories. I figure the old man is long dead by now but i did have a great time talking with him anyway.

I did a little internet snooping about this mustang. 83-92 ford rangers had a very similar bed... not sure, but could be

My thought, if he wanted an el camino that badly he should have just bought one... a lot simpler.

This was a cj 7 I built a few years ago. We built a custom frame and added dual transfer cases powered it with a LS small block on built one ton axles and 44 inch sticky tires. I built several off road jeep’s over the years this one however was by far the most capable. Never mind the squeaky air compressor belt in the video. We had been in deep water up the creek. This is my wife driving it up the Waterfall.

Wasn't that a hard top convertible?

My uncle had one as did his neighbor when I was a teen lacking the super charger.

But it was the stingray body lines that excited me. I had once dreamed of putting a stingray body that I converted to a station wagon on a jeep frame to have four wheel drive.

Very impractical but suits my nature.

Yes it is Neb. That would be a different type of vehicle your talking about making, but if it pleases you, that's all that matters. 👍
