There is something on the roof. I hear it rummage around in the leaves, jump to my windowsill, have a very brief snack, up to the gutter, to the roof. Raccoon, cat, possum, or rat. I swear it is throwing acorns sometimes.

I had several days of absolute fatigue and didn't use the internet much. Slept for more than 12hrs a day for the past few days. Just had no energy and couldn't stay awake. When I was awake I was able to help my friend a bit on fixing up the house he's working on. An appraiser is coming early next month to look at it. There's a spot in the master bedroom where some of the vinyl planks at the foot of the bed have curled up. I suggested an area rug and we found a decent one at Home Depot. He's going to send me a pic later. Hoping everything goes well this time and that he doesn't have any problems from the bank.
Truck was making weird sounds again and the tire shop thinks it might be the CV axle. Going to have them look at it on Monday.

I have just figured out I am running out of days before daughter is supposed to visit for Thanksgiving....
So today cleaning and getting extra bedroom ready, laundry, plus of course animal care. This will take all day
Might make some cookies too to try out the stuff I ordered online to make sure it works
Starting to worry a little about son getting a job. He started applying in October and so far nothing. He graduated with decent grades from a top engineering school, passed his EIT test, has had jobs before and there is no reason why he shouldn't get hired now, but so far he has not even heard back from anyone except Vdot, and that was just a short interview. Is this a sign there is a problem with the economy, or maybe just our area? He's been looking around here

Weather is supposed to be better today, so I may sneak out and whack some golf balls. Next week is supposed to get cold again. This may be the end of the season.. I think I need a Winter hobby.

Regular chores and taking care of husband. Company here, so husband can visit. Neighbor is having a farm block ice cream social tonight, so maybe husband will go, but I will go and bring the company. Planning on making a big pot of hamburger soup and some fresh bread since tonight is "dessert first" with the ice cream thing.
Decided to wait up last night as the storm is still going and husband was was flying back late. Daughter arrived back from friends party at 2, and joined me in the bed for a cuppa; her feet were killing her- the best kind of party! She wanted to wait up to say to husband 'what time do you call this?' 
but he didn't get back until 3.30. I stayed up and wrote Christmas cards! Fed the animals at 8am,had a lazy morning, but still have a cold, which is giving me headaches, so I got up and put on some bad/good pop music from the 80's/90's and prepped veg for tomorrows night dinner, made chorizo and pasta soup and sausage rolls for lunch, and cleaned the kitchen. Going to chill for while until dinner, which by daughters request because shes leaving tonight, is Philly Cheesesteaks. Have all the washing done as its clear but windy, so am slightly ahead of myself, but still have essays to write. The head is foggy

Slept in as long as I could then rolled out of bed and made my way to the electric device that produces wake up juice. Once properly caffeinated I took a shower and threw on some shorts and a t-shirt before trimming a chuck roast for the slow cooker. Decided we are going simple and easy for brunch today with Greek yogurt mixed with sliced cherries and honey, plain bagels and breakfast sausage patties. After that who knows what the day will hold for me.

Had a little snow over night and now it's foggy. If must be Sunday, the wife is making biscuits and gravy for breakfast. My plans for today is, put some gravel on the road, try to fix the wash outs, work on the new building and gather up the weasel boxes. Also, I have a large bag of mice and chipmunks in the freezer that need to be ground up for bait. The grandson likes watching me make the weasel bait.

It's not windy here..mostly cloudy but some blue skies occasionally n cold.
Today I will go walk the pups..once home, my only outside chore is to do a couple dumps of old straw n bedding from the barn and goat area onto the ground outside n around the chicken coop. It's a muddy mess out there.
Then do laundry n get stovie fired up , work on a rug..

Short & sweet, what am I doing today.....NOTHING. I've got 1 auction that I'm bidding on in about 90 minutes. After that I have lots of stuff that I could do, but I refuse. I'm watching a couple of movies with my feet up, having a few beers & maybe, just maybe I'll take a nap.
I just thought about it & I left out my morning. I fixed a faucet, cleaned a couple of air filters & walked up & down a flight of stairs 4 or 5 times. Oh & I fixed lunch & gave out meds. I deserve a break today & it's beer, not McDonalds!!!!

I really hate raccoons.
WE KNOW!! But yes, they are smart and killers! There's a ranch in my area that had a raccoon coming around their house around pre-dawn. They let the dogs out after it right around daylight one morning. The raccoon ran for a pond and started swimming. One dog swam out after it! The raccoon jumped on the dogs face and somehow drowned it, quickly! The owners shot the raccoon. Guess the remaining dog was the smart one!! That racoon knew they either would not follow, or that he had the upper hand if they did!!

I thought that word might have been censored because it is not politically correct. It is used as an insulting and contemptuous term for a Spanish-American person.
I typed the shortened version of raccoon, just the last four letters and when I previewed my post it was four asterisks!! A lot is getting censored!!
