Yesterday stopped by Rural King and picked up 150lbs of chicken feed. Also got a short rachet strap I needed. While we were there I found a nice warm Carhartt vest in my size. Not many of those around.

Today was more rehab. Things went well and after a doseage change of one of my meds, my blood pressure was high enough to leave as soon as I was done and got checked out. It had been dropping to around 80/60 after working out. Today was 102/62.

Woke up early in this hotel room. I'm not used to hearing any sounds. I'll get up soon and shower and kill time until breakfast at 7. After breakfast I'll check out and go the farm/ranch supply store. I need to buy a pair of boots to replace the one the fox ran off with. I'll also check out the guns, ammo and fishing stuff. I'm sure that I'll find something that I "need". Then I'll meet the daughter somplace for lunch and pick up the grandson and head home. Wife said that it's still raining at home. We've never seen this much rain before. It's supposed to rain all day today and all day tomorrow then turn to snow on Monday.
And there’s more on the way. We’ve had more than we’ve seen in ages.

Still scrubbing smoke and creosote from things 🫤

I forgot I had some VICKS ointment :)
I did rub chest - neck
Ahhhhhhhhh

But tomorrow I will go get a cough syrup at drug store

Very bad day today. I ended up driving all day because hubby said one of the dogs wouldn't take a treat and was acting funny early this morning. He passed before I got home. That was a major shock. The other three are fine, but gosh that was fast and unexpected.
I AM SO SORRY!! Hope the others are ok!! Wonder what happened?? 💗💗💗

Spreading salt on the frozen rain on the front walk and out to the cars....We must be getting that pacific storm. Highly unusual to have freezing rain around here. Snow and cold is the norm.
Luckily we have a lot of buried power lines and the majority of the trees are evergreens that shed snow and frozen rain...So shouldn't be any power outages but my o my the drivers out there are scary.

My sympathy 😢 sorry for your loss

The Atmospheric River !!
I guess that's what the weather "experts" are calling it. I'm just glad to see any moisture. About a week ago I checked our weather station and it said that we had just over 10 inches of moisture for the year. Thats 1/3 of what we should have. Maybe we'll start catching up now.

Our weather is looking pretty mild this weekend, probably won't even do a fire. But come Monday....looks like the cold weather really starts.
Regular chores and also cleaning the downstairs and extra cooking today. Friends from New Mexico are coming in late afternoon, and will be staying till Tuesday.

(Anyone else ever had to put a fitted sheet on a queen size bed in a camper bedroom?
I had to fight with that for 10 years when we were being full time RV'ers and I was 100 pounds bigger while trying to get it on the bed. Good times. LOL

This morning will walk first-a little later.
Walk dogs.
Pick up parking lot at Church.
Local grocery with friend to get one thing I forgot yesterday- isn't that the way it goes?
Make Swiss Roll Trifle and take it to Church fridge.
Easy day!

Woke up, had a nice snuggle with the lady, got out of bed, made some coffee, turned on some 70's yacht rock, climbed into the big chair, grabbed my laptop, read my email, checked the weather and arrived at the forum. Eventually I have to get cleaned up because we are going to go see pops for an early turkey day meal and so he can meet the girl. I am hoping for a 3-4 hour turn around on that adventure, with travel, but I am betting the lady will drag it out with pleasantries and niceness.

So we had a storm last night; lots of flooding to get through early this morning taking daughter to town. About 60,000 without power, trees down too. I think some places got snow too. I thought we got off lightly, until I sent the lads out to top up firewood baskets. Husband is away, and he covered the pheasant pen with a tarp before he left. The pen is by the woods, under trees and up against the small barn and chicken house. Its made of those metal grid things they put around building sites, and reinforced. Anyway, we had so much rain in a short space of time the tarp filled with water and pulled the pen in on itself. I ended up stabbing the tarp. and bucketing the resulting water out the door- which for a while I was the only person who could fit through the gap. Do you know pheasants turn into bats when disturbed? :p I stink, they splattered mud everywhere flying up. Anyway managed to straighten the sides a bit, put down lots of straw, couldn't get the tarp off but I've set up posts inside so its more circus tent like. Now heading for a shower- more rain due tonight; husbands flight not expected until about midnight, and its a two hour drive so I'll be up late :D:D

The other dogs are fine. Hubby was playing fetch with all four day before yesterday. Yesterday morning, Dax was whining and didn't play or take a treat. He was dead a few hours later. Didn't make it to the vet appointment. Possibly a brain annyerism.

Yeah, but I know the wife would eventually let it out. Then she'd want to feed it.
Ours have a garage and they go in and out. And we also put out dry food. You pretty much have to feed it something, but they will take care of your mice problem. They have free reign where ever, just not in the house

In my humble opinion, losing a dog is so hard. You will never know any person as loyal and loving as they can be.
