I've been at this house, house-sitting, since last Tuesday morning. I was supposed to go home this evening. Just had a call from the couple that their flight home from Cancun was cancelled and they will be trying to get home tomorrow. I told them that I could stay overnight. Yes, that helps them a lot, and they know someone who can come let the dogs out during the day.

I am scheduled to have a dog stay with me starting tomorrow. This couple already left yesterday morning, and are already in Europe. They have a neighbor who is watching the dog. Neighbor works from home and can bring that dog out to me whenever I pull up and text. We have been doing this forever texting thing forever, because the dog lives on the third floor and parking is impossible. Even if I didn't have to climb three flights of stairs, parking is impossible.

More back to back work going on for a while.

Yes, that would be considered derogatory and not politically correct. I think we've been mostly good here, but I wonder when all of this got tightened up? AI?

'Tis the season!! When I worked for the dog training club, we also had a boarding kennel. We always had a full house on the holidays! No time off for us!! People ask me if I miss working with horses and dogs, NO, it's seven day a week work! I can train dogs on the side, still enjoy them and only be a slave to my animals!! It's my own fault now if I don't get a day off

Got home about 2 hrs ago from Branson. Had a real nice time. Just wife and I went to Silver Dollar City. It so magical and beautiful at Christmas. I am not the type who likes that kind of stuff. I would say if you are within a 8 HR drive it is worth it.

Over slept by an hour and a half this morning, must have needed it. Quiet morning then lunch. Trip to the big town this afternoon. Bought some junction boxes and Wago lever nuts to connect wiring. Stopped at harbor freight on the way back. Got two new wire stripping tools and a non-contact voltage tester. At some point in every electrical project I’ve done in recent years I always say ‘wish I had a little voltage tester’. I finally bought one! Dragging out a volt meter just to see if a wire is hot is over kill sometimes. I tested the tester when I got home. Worked well...

I thought that word might have been censored because it is not politically correct. It is used as an insulting and contemptuous term for a Spanish-American person.

Today- more cleaning. Worked on the freezers . Making progress. Had to take Hubby lunch. He’s worked every day this month. Thursday will be his first day off in quite a while.
Yesterday got all the crates of jars back out so only the big meat slicer box in the middle of the kitchen floor. . One thing at a time. Thinking I’m going to use the opportunity to part with a few of the items I don’t use. It’s difficult because they are quality items, but enough is enough and I am scrubbing things I haven’t used in years.

This afternoon I was doing some work outside and fell out of the back of the side by side. Good thing the rocks broke my fall or it might of hurt worse. I feel pretty beat up so all I did was fix dinner and ate. After dinner I just crawled up in to my recliner for the night.

It's 8:30, good night!! I can't believe it either!! Was talking to a good friend recently and she had to bring up, " remember when we stayed up and partied all night and went to our physically hard animal jobs"?? I earned the rest!!

So much to do before the ground freezes! I've started backfilling the trench for the generator gas line, did about a quarter of it so far. Need to put in the posts for my deer fence for the garden. And I've decided I want to put a natural gas heater in my larger greenhouse, so will need to dig a short trench for that gas line.
Today after church I finished repairing the south door and got the endwalls covered on my original greenhouse! It is such a relief to have finally reached that point. I could almost feel my Beloved smile for me.
Hoping all those who are ill feel better right quick!
And I think I'll have some emergen-c before I go to bed tonight, don't need to be catching anything!

Was on the verge of recovering from our low intensity heatwave that included overnight temps of 22-26 degrees ℃ which is fairly humid in a temperate climate such as the Lower South East of SA where I'm located especially for late spring now were back to humid conditions for today through to Wednesday

No sign of my blood alcohol certificate in the mail yet I'm positive either tomorrow or Wednesday it will arrive but did confirm what my gut instinct had be niggling at me for the last week or so apparently said other party has opted to get their vehicle's rear chassis repaired and is working with my insurer to get that sorted RAA did assure me that I'll have my second hand wagon by at the latest Thursday next week

Whilst that has put my mind at ease and satisfied that other party is getting properly compensated instead of his original envisioned favorable outcome the total loss dept staffer also mentioned of what I was convinced the whole time without making assumptions to avoid being wrong said party hasn't given any insurance details whatsoever so his vehicle wasn't insured at time of incident except from third party insurance of which comes with registration

Once again Sherlock Holmes saying "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth" rings true in this situation as the improbable of missing insurance details or no insurance was in-fact the truth

Today cleaning , making gingerbread cookies and animal care. Yesterday I did the laundry , and took Otto for a hike
plus animal care took a while. We put all the remaining goats back together except the bucks and a couple of wethers we put in with them. It took an hour getting them to their pasture a little down the road. We are going to put them in tonight because it is supposed to rain a lot so this time instead of trying to drag them on a leash, we are going to put a dog crate on the Ranger and drive them, that should be fun....they will learn eventually where they are going but I don;t have time this week to teach them with walking ahead with pellets or something.

Looked at some online jobs for son, there seem to be plenty of jobs, but very few entry level. I think he might have to get a low paying intern job first, even if he is already done with his degree.

Husband is totally overdesigning our solar panels. He is still working on them....I asked him if that is going to be his retirement project lOL

Regular ol' Monday for me! Need to do some house cleaning here after work! The cold front is just starting to come through, it's 58°, that's today's high here!

After 2 days of procrastination its back to the electric grind (is that a dance?). I need to do laundry, can’t until I finish rewiring the laundry room. Actually have to rewire two rooms, all the lighting and several of the outlets. So far today I’ve only managed to intake some caffeine, need more it seems.

Last week I needed to patch a small hole in the stairway landing surface. It turned into rebuilding the landing from the floor up. Then I needed to rewire the lighting circuit for the stairway. It’s turned into completely rewiring two rooms and the stairway. I need to stop finding small needed repairs.

Today is my birthday. We are going shopping for some items for Thanksgiving dinner. Since our hometown flooded about a week ago, many stores are still closed. Some roads got washed away. Shopping might take all day. My two daughters are coming home for Thanksgiving.
