I don't have pictures. We only have barn cats. The number varies over time. They come and go. We put some feed out but they have to hunt, and they do. Some get friendly, some don't. Sometimes a young kitten will get adopted by someone who wants a pet. A few would love to be spoiled rotten house cats but none of ours are gonna live inside, EVER. They have shelter in the barn and sheltered places around the homestead. Water is easy to come by. They can come and go as they please. They're not pets. But I won't tolerate one that is mean or aggressive.

Pics are not necessary to like and care for kitties.

My grandmother was always appalled that we let a cat live in the house. "Animals belong in the barn," she would say. She was born in 1884, in Texas.

Sometimes I think Thumper would like to be a barn cat. She looks out the sliding doors in back and wants so bad to go play with the bunnies and quail in the yard. :D

Happy New Year! I declare this the year of the cat! ;)
