I get advertisements in my e-mail. Most are from SAFEWAY Grocery. It will have ads that say, "Clip this COUPON".
How do you do that......???

I went through that with my grocer and a rewards program. Campbell's Chunky soup was on sale, 2 for $4, and 4 for $5 for program members. I punched in phone number at checkout to get my reward points, but didn't get the 4/$5 deal.I get advertisements in my e-mail. Most are from SAFEWAY Grocery. That's cool, I hate apps. Anything that can be done with an app, can be done without it - for the most part. And, if it can't be done without the app..... screw it, I ain't going there.Yep...hit the clip button when signed into your account...then at store when checking out use your phone number on key pad or scan members card so anything digital is deducted while checking out...never done it on a phone...just a pc.
here in my area they dont even send out weekly sale paper....they saving money..most people dont get a real newspaper any longer so its about pointless to do so...everyone uses phone or computer nowadays...it weird to me as well..but it is reason for it and i see why. What a pain in the arse. Just give me the GD sale price. I don't have time for this BS. But the wife has learned how to play the grocery store game though.
It sure is a game. Not to mention that you're providing your shopping history to..... well, who knows who. What a pain in the arse. Just give me the GD sale price. I don't have time for this BS. But the wife has learned how to play the grocery store game though.
YES.....on sale prices...but for the extra special digital coupons you need to clip them so they are in your account...when you swipe the card you get regular sale items you bought plus any digital coupons applied as well.I prefer Fred Meyers (aka KROGER). You get a plastic card and when you checkout........if it is on sale you get the sale price on all things you bought, if they were on sale.
not a problem...or shouldnt be...use phone number you signed up the account with...thats all thats needed.Another problem with SAFEWAY is they want my phone number at check-out. I politely ask, "WHICH ONE". I have at least three.
SAFEWAY also has a goofy thing that the end of every month they wipe any unused discounts away.
Except for tracking your purchases and interests in detail. You need an account/app for that. Which is precisely why they have these discounts that are only available if you use their app.Anything that can be done with an app, can be done without it - for the most part.
FAR-FAR too much "BULLSPIT" and minutes of my life. My free time is expensive, especially consider I have little time remaining.YES.....on sale prices...but for the extra special digital coupons you need to clip them so they are in your account...when you swipe the card you get regular sale items you bought plus any digital coupons applied as well.
yep...but it doesnt matter really what we think...what matters is how it is and what must be done...to be honest it easier that cutting paper coupons once you do it a time or two...click on them and done and ready to go when you hit the store or do a delivery order.FAR-FAR too much "BULLSPIT".
Here is what is true for me. If I lived near a "monster" WALMART. That is where I would shop. I loathe these coupon/discount/membership "CRAPS".
I care zero if everything came from CHINA.
America has been slitting its own throat for 55 years.
Then they can't track your purchases. That is the point of them making us clip coupons. What a pain in the arse. Just give me the GD sale price. I don't have time for this BS. But the wife has learned how to play the grocery store game though.
Coupons or not if you use a store card without the clipped coupon and just go with regular non coupon store discounts they track you .....AND... if you dont pay cash...and use any type of debit or credit card your bank seeing details of what exactly you bought...all banks see it through computer....some banks use it as a way to invest into what people are buying or trending in sales and manufacturing etc....its what i read anyway...especially bigger banks. Then they can't track your purchases. That is the point of them making us clip coupons.
We're about 2 to 3 hours, depending on weather, to the grocery store where we do most of our shopping. So on the way to the store the wife is doing the electronic coupon thing on her cell phone. It works out well for her and now that she's done it a few times she likes it. The whole point is to take advantage of the savings.yep...but it doesnt matter really what we think...what matters is how it is and what must be done...to be honest it easier that cutting paper coupons once you do it a time or two...click on them and done and ready to go when you hit the store or do a delivery order.
i have lost coupons out of shirt pocket before from high winds....and forgot i had some in my bib pocket even like a moron too ! by then it was to late..this way swiping your card or putting phone umber in keypad if your forgot card all of it happens automatic.
