Basically I eliminated Google from tracking me, my location, and who I talk to. The feds are still recording everything but they don’t sell it to everyone with a check book. True, Google gets the info from the people that I talk to but if they want to sell info about me they have to search the world’s phones to compile a list of my calls, not likely. As more people go degoogled the better my security.

You just need to work out the details with whomever you're going to communicate with well ahead of time and practice using it.
Therein lies the problem with many secure communications. You have to set most of them up in advance. I'm all set up here with encrypted email, I've had my public/private key pair set up for years. But I have nobody to communicate securely with. I would have to send them my public key and they send me their's (if they even know what one is).
