Timmie's staff infection in her leg was worsening last we heard. Like with innkeeper, not sure if anyone knows her "in real life." Worried for her.
I have tried pm to timmie several times , after she went in hospital.
I have also sent pm to innkeeper.

No response by from either one.

I agree! I read her posts and was concerned for her then, and even more so now.
We used to have regulars in PS, some who were invited here and a few who joined, but have been mostly silent. My guess is that some are no longer living. I'm not naming any names, but I have some people in mind.

This sounds a little morbid, but I have an icon on my computer (points to a folder) that says "In the event of my death". Many files are in there, and one of them is a list of people to contact (this includes some of my online friends). Most contacts come with emails and/or telephone numbers, but a few are just a forum URL and my login and password (along with a handle or two for forum folks that I seem to get along with).

Not that I expect anyone would notice or care much if I passed, but the info is there on my computer anyway, in case my family and forum member friends want to do anything with it. I have had a few friends die, and one of the first things the grieving spouse gets upset about is not knowing how to get ahold of the deceased's friends. This even goes for local friends - the spouse may have seen them, know their first names, but have no idea how to get in contact with them. I even list a few of my ex-coworkers, even though I am retired now and don't see them routinely any more.

I try to PM every member that is usually here , but disappeared for a while.
I also know that if they aren't posting....chances are they are not going to see my PM.

But that's all I have.

Camo2560 did respond ....thankfully .

Sometimes it works.

Email to anyone that has not posted since 01/01/2020 would surely be another way to reach them.

Sounds as if I should send out an email to anyone that has not been on since Jan or before to let them know they are being missed by their friends here.
Does that sound like a good time frame?
That sounds like a good plan.
I occasionally get an email from a forum site if I haven't been on for some period of time. I usually log on to see what I have missed.

In my experience on forums of this nature, whenever something pops up like the coronavirus, some people we haven't seen in a while pop back up to see what's what with the new pending disaster while others disappear because they are getting ready to potentially deal with the new pending disaster. Of course some people just come back like the tide, it's human nature. Still, it's a good idea to send out some kind of 'we're still here, you should stop in and say hello' message.

I wouldn't mind hearing from Mosquitomountainman, Oldcoothillbilly, Magus, and others.

Miss everyone but an especially good friend was Magus..whatever happened to Magus.
Havent heard from him in a while.
Did he ever transition over here?

Just sent an email to members that have not been on from 9/1/19 to 2/1/20. I figured a few days is okay, that's why I didn't make it go to today.

Now I told them members were thinking about them and wanted to know if they were doing okay. Asked them to please check in.

It went out to 58 members.

Just letting y'all know InnKeeper is alright - some medical issues with expected positive results - maybe keep him in your prayers, but know for now, he's alright and just taking time off.
:)

Just got a pm from him.
The wreck he had ,did more than first thought, plus some other issues.
Prayers needed,
He said hello to everyone , and is looking forward to getting healthy and coming back

Ditto, my PM came through before the change and the new site isn't sending emails when you get a PM so I can't get back to him about the change.

Hello everyone. :green man:

I'm still above ground. Thanks for the email @Angie

My first year in my new life was spent living in the real world. Did a lot of traveling to music festivals and a few concerts. When I was home and not working I was playing locally at Open Mic's and open jams. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy making music and have spent most of my free time doing it. I don't spend much time online anymore except at this time of year.

This winter has been a tough one. Not because of the weather. We haven't had a plowable snow yet this season.

My dad got sick in October, went in the hospital in mid December and passed over to the great woodworking shop in the sky in mid January. I've basically been living with my mom since he went in the hospital. She lives about 100 miles north of me. I'm back home now but will be going up on a regular basis to help her adjust to her new life. They were married 62 years.

Being a family of musicians, 4 of us decided to play him a farewell song at the funeral and someone recorded it. Let's see if I remember how to do this.
