I'm here but I'm NOT ok.
Been diagnosed with cervical cancer and if that wasn't the head kicker...I've been refused surgery/ treatment until I get vaxxed.
They laughed..LAUGHED at the mere suggestion of giving me unvaxxed blood during the surgery.
So.....I've gotten a hard head and I've decided to treat myself using Chinese medicine, CBD, IVERMECTIN...*gasp*.

To those who tried to run me down and belittle me about the mental health aspects of my work....I remember who you are. I remember who "liked" your comments.

I'm not dead yet..and I don't plan on being so anytime soon.

I'm not a doctor, but I thought that blood got filtered before it was given to patients anyway. They want to make sure it isn't carrying anything, but I could be wrong. I have a friend who is an oncology nurse so I could ask her. But Ben may be on to something if you donate your own blood for it.

I googled it:
"Most whole blood donations are spun in centrifuges to separate it into transfusable components: red cells, platelets, and plasma. Plasma may be processed into components such as cryoprecipitate, which helps control the risk of bleeding by helping blood to clot."

I do not understand how the medical industry can refuse someone life saving treatment because of vaxx status. What's next, too old, too fat, the wrong color?

Spoiler alert: They already refuse life-saving treatment based on people's age, weight, and race. Gender as well. Also their financial status & insurance. If they have crap insurance or no insurance they won't get approved. There have been studies showing that they will discriminate based on race when giving treatment, triaging, etc. They will refuse to do surgery on elderly patients (claiming they are too old to get it) and on overweight patients (again, claiming its too high of a risk). There may be some validity to it, but it still sucks.

It's natural to talk about the causes of this pressure... but there isn't a whole lot any of us can do about it. At this point I avoid certain topics because we've discussed them to death. So I hear you on that score...

This is what I do. I stay away from some threads and some not so kind people. Sometimes, at least for me, the only thing that some things do is to make my blood pressure rise. Nothing I can do about some things, so why go there?
Some people want to argue, debate. That is never me.
Some people like to poke and upset others. That is a sure way to lose my friendship.

Thank you for the reminder. I need to put at least one more person on ignore. I tried this to get someone to stop poking at me, but they could still see what I posted and then found ways to poke at me. Bullies seem to be everywhere and once they get someone in their sights, won't give it up.

I am finding that taking up old hobbies that have fallen by the wayside is good entertainment. I very recently got back into airgunning by buying myself a new airgun during the Thanksgiving sales. I found my old slingshot stuff and will be tying some more band sets for the frames later today. I'm even thinking of dusting off the telescope and doing some astronomy again. Although the cold nights might put a chill on reincarnation of that hobby.

..And, indeed, honing those 'hobbies' will serve you well, from the Practical standpoint.. ie: I'm certain there Will be periods of time in the not-too-distant-future, where we'll Need to hunt - but 'circumstances' will dictate that, at that particular moment, we Won't want to 'risk' the report / flash, etc, of a Firearm, even if 'suppressed', so.. Those "toy" airguns, then Won't Be - they'll be the Family Hero..

May I suggest squirrel-shaped cutouts for target practice?

I interpret this as "getting back to living" and say kudos! More folks should do the same.

I've never known what 'living' was supposed to be, no idea how to get back it, no idea how to move forward to it.

And the only time I'm not wondering what I'm supposed to be doing are the 2 minutes a year, on average, when something is trying to kill me.

So I spend most of my life 'holding' back from the only thing that I am clear about. Everything else is just confusion.

Goshengirl, I like that bit about being on the same side but with different opinions. People have become so polarized that its become harder to have civil debates. I love a good debate, but I don't like arguments where people get all angry & can't agree to disagree when there is a standoff.

I Could 'offer a suggestion', from My well of perspective, which - IIRC, is something like +12-ish yrs of "living", more than yourself - which is only valid to the degree that 'qualifies me' to Make suggestions based solely on 'being Alive longer' (understanding that Experience-sets can vary, greatly, regardless of "age"..) but...

..I'll just set it on the table, for you to 'pull', if you wish, vs me giving it a 'push', since I'm not sure you'll Agree with it, 'ideologically'...
