Man, sorry to hear about Wingnut but if people can't control themselves the admins have to take action. I had someone that I really liked on a private forum I created for a niche fandom-- very small group-- but this chick could not handle any disagreement whatsoever. She was very strongly opinionated and would say offensive things to other people and was always clutching her pearls if someone disagreed with her. She couldn't take it as a difference of opinion-- had to take it personally and resort to ad hominem attacks. She would argue with me when I would privately tell her to stop it and point out the rules. I finally had to ban her. She had a total meltdown in e-mails about it. Threatened to sue me and all sorts of crap. It was a free forum and nothing to sue over. She wanted all of her posts deleted "or else". I sent her the TOS of the site & that shut her up. But I did delete specific posts where she talked about her kids and had pictures of them. I told her I didn't have to delete anything due to the TOS but I was being nice. I really don't get how some people get butthurt so easily though. I try to stay out of the politics bc I know my views differ from a lot of people here & I'm not here to argue with people. I'd rather focus on things we can agree on and move on.

I think they are in process of moving from one state to another. It is a move they have been planning for years.

It's really hard when those you care about go and you never hear another word. Many miss Grizzleyette here and on other forums. I about worried myself to death when she went missing after posting so often on another forum and having been able to get to know her online. She's how I found this place, I was looking for any word about her and what may have happened. All we know is that she had fallen ill with some malady and was gone. I like to think she's still out there doing just fine, but for whatever reason had to go dark online.

I think that she, like some others, is gone from this earth. She was too passionate about preparedness and her participation in forums to just stop posting. No one here ever knew her real name, that I know of. There are others here who are so careful about being private, that after their passing, we will never know they are gone, unless they have given someone the assignment or permission to inform us.
