Isn't that the truth? When I finished with my long thread, I got up and came back and it was a mess. For the life of me I could not figure out what was going on.
When I tried to get back on this morning, I was convinced that I had somehow gotten banned.
If the picture I posted in the link above is what purgatory looks like, I'm gonna be really nice from now on.:ghostly:
...I don't want to give them any ideas, but a 'poison-cookie' would be all it takes.

🙄🙄🙄Yep, you get the Pearl triple eye roll !! ♥️

@Weedygarden I put on my tin foil hat and thought...

"Isn't it strange that weedy has lately been stressing making contact with members outside the forum and *Poof*. Suddenly the forum went wonky!!! What does she know???" 🤔

The answer is out there.

LOL! I know nothing! Well late last night and this morning, I felt like I was in an odd place. It was so odd. But I still don't know the answer to what happened. The forum was so strange looking. I kept trying to figure out how to click on something that would work, but it was even odder than Supervisor showed. I kept wondering if I had accidentally clicked on something or what I had done.

We may lose a lot of others because of "The Great Reset" last night.

That looks like maybe the CSS (style sheet) didn't get downloaded or read in or used correctly. Modern websites are not a single "webpage" that you download. There are all kind of things being downloaded and then coordinated by your web browser for display. For one, you have the raw content (may be multiple downloads). Then you have style sheets, probably multiple, that tell the web browser how to format the content so it looks nice when displayed. You lose a style sheet somewhere, and you get a view that is unformatted or incorrectly formatted like the above.

So, are you saying you were not sitting in a pentagram, wearing a pointy hat, and chanting spells last night?:waiting:
CNN said you were, and posted this:oops::

CNN would screw up a wet dream with no alarm clock, that was me trying to give "the squad" massive hemorrhoids so their heads explode!

Let me put it into words people can understand.
It's all voodoo and magic. :p

Do we know if we lost any regulars from the reset?
It had me thinking that if I got blocked, I needed to be looking for another place to hang out. :(

You could try but honestly, do you really think you could find another crew to harass you like we do? 😇

I missed this "great reset" thing. The forum has been acting normally for me. But currently I am on a temporary computer. We have closed off the lowest level of our house due to the failed stairs. And that's where my office and main desktop computer is. So I'm on a spare computer booting off of various thumbdrives into different flavors of Linux as I play around. Last time I rebooted I did have to re-login to the forum here, but that was to be expected since I set these thumbdrive boots to load the entire OS and everything I do into memory, so there are certainly no website cookies or other data saved when I reboot. But after re-logging in, the website has been perfectly normal for me.

"Never describe in five words what can be drug out into a full paragraph (complete with run-on sentences and excessive punctuation)"
I thought it was:
"Figure up the actual time it will take to fix this mess and pad it by an hour?"

No. That would result in a huge underestimation. The correct formula is:

"Figure the actual time, double it, then move it to the next higher unit."

Thus, "two days" becomes "four weeks".
For fixed price jobs a detailed estimate was created and then X5. It always worked.

I miss teej!! I think The lazyL got mad because he was ignoring his wife! Also miss Chesney, chaosdawn's real name was Karen, she didn't like the jokes! Ooooweeeboy howdy!!
Did Teej leave for some reason?
His wife was always giving him the "deer in headlights" look (per him).
I wonder why.
I guess that isn't nice. Sorry.
If you've read his posts over time, you realize that she can be flaky and he calls her out on it, giving her the deer in the headlights look. I think he is retired now, and once you are retired, you really start to see more stuff that you've been able to escape from.
