Quality is like buying oats. “If you want nice fresh oats you have to pay a fair price. If you can be satisfied with oats that have already been thru the horse, that comes a little cheaper.
The problem is, you have to put in considerable effort to weed out the horse-filtered oats that are labeled as fresh oats. Politicians and the bills they write are prime examples of this.

You don’t think that you are being tracked every where you go on the internet?
I don’t support Facebook financially. Facebook sells ads to advertisers hoping to reach their one billion users.

Yep, I’m a big boy. I’ll do me and you do you.
Unfortunately, you are supporting Facebook, you are the product.

"Yep, I’m a big boy. I’ll do me and you do you." I would have it no other way.

Everybody is supporting Facebook. Data is collected on us by Facebook and used for their profits regardless of whether we have an account there or not. Same thing for Google. We are all supporting them too, like it or not. If you don't want to support them, sever your network connection. Permanently. That's the only way. And even after doing that, you will still be supporting them to some extent - until such time that nobody on the internet every mentions you again. That may be a decade or more after your obituary is published.

I have never had a Facebook account. I haven't used google for decades. I don't support them directly and if my friends would drop them I wouldn't support them indirectly. I have no control over that, so I don't worry about it. I do what I can to protect myself.

google got caught, quite awhile back, sending vans around the country and hacking into peoples private wifi. No security is absolute but I do what I can.

Given that we are soon going to be undergoing a merge with Doomsday Preppers Forum, I wanted to document where we are now. I would really like to see where we are the day before the merge, but I may miss that.

Today we have 1,214 members, 19,998 threads and 624,561 messages.

The key part is, when you took the snapshot, we had 26 members online, (and that even includes @Downshift, who has been a member for over 2 years, is online almost every day, and has never made a single post ).

I find it strange at how many people join and never post once. When I do birthday greetings, I used to acknowledge everyone. Not now. If it is someone's birthday and they have never posted, or only posted a few time a long time ago, I just don't bother.

We had 268 guests! How many of those are bots? Or alphabet agencies?

re: Downshift: Either he has nothing to say or contribute, or he is trying to not be found due to OPSEC.

They are not bots, the forum lists those separately.
Anytime somebody does a Google search and it turns up a post here, when they click and read it, they appear as a 'guest' here.

Two more threads and we will have 20,000!

This is the ONLY forum I'm on and have never been on one before! Guess that's why I "participate" so much!😁
I am curious how you got here?
If this was a closed group, I suppose one could eliminate bots. Then again, it would cause this forum to go into the dark web, with no attention it deserves. At least, this is how I believe it could happen.
It almost seems to me that Doomsday is a closed group. I cannot get on from my phone without logging on. Am I wrong about that? If it is a closed group, it might be why they haven't done so well financially.
And, aren't there ads here for people who are not financial contributors? Maybe that has made a difference here?

Can you add the top 20 please ?

There are names that could fade into oblivion.

Ben
I made the list!:woo hoo:
