you would probably benefit from Cabin Fevers diet. That sounds like stuff you should eat if you have problems with digestions. Probably very low fat
Or eat lots of rice
I walk a dangerous road . Had a BLT for supper .
I make sticky rice . Jasmine (Carolina ) don't like boiled rice
I take enzymes with each meal.

week 4 day 7

no additional weight loss, sames as a couple days ago, but at least I didn't gain any despite the scones
I am seeing a trend here after doing this for a few months. I can eat ANYTHING I want, as long as I don't eat a lot of it and don't eat between 6 pm and 10 Am . The time thing I have stuck to 100%. Actually most of the time I don't eat till lunchtime around 12 or 1, or if I do eat in the morning at 10 or so it's just a piece of toast with peanut butter or something.

watched an interesting food video on youtube last night
they were making Bento boxes in Japan .

they were making bento boxes with rice, fried chicken, fried fish, fried and breaded meat patties, some veggies , egg
towards the end they showed the very long line of people getting them and none of them looked overweight.

today I am making Korean fried chicken, potato salad and baked beans. The baked beans are processed in a can. I make those very occasionally but do like them . Will probably make some broccoli also, need some green stuff

That time period is basically intermittent fasting.
that's the way I ate most of my life. I am not a breakfast person, not hungry and don't have time first thing in the morning ( and I hate boxed cereal, cardboard with sugar on top)
I just cut out the junk at night , but I didn't used to do that so that is why it was probably not that hard to cut it out

Week 5 day 2

going shopping and swimming today, so I will make grits before we go
late lunch today , will make sweet potatoes, broccolie and schnitzel
and soup of course , soup 1

so epic fail today, no diet. Did not get back in time to cook so had a ham and cheese sandwich with a Aldi beer
plus some junk on the way ( husband got a bag of corn chips and I had some, plus some chocolate)

Plan on going back on the diet tomorrow

For the last 4-5 days, I have been doing my daily hour long exercising, eating my same salad for lunch, and soup for dinner, but can not stay below 220 pounds. I have hit the proverbial "wall" and darn if I can't break thru this weight loss. YET!
maybe try something different, eat a regular meal for lunch and no dinner, or eat eggs for breakfast or do something that will surprise your body , that's what I would try.

That is a good idea. I'm not quitting, so I'll try mixing it up first.

I did have a 'feel good' moment yesterday. I was out trimming my hedge. My neighbor was also out tinkering with some of his plants in the front yard. He came over and asked is everything was OK, and I replied great. He asked how my health was, and I replied I just had my annual physical a few weeks back and everything was great. I can tell he was beating around the bush and he finally just came out and asked, "Damn Mark, you are skinny, is everything fine?"

Finally! People are seeing the fruits of my hard work. It is things like this that keep me motivated.

I am thinking this, human body is very efficient so if it gets used to a thing, it no longer works well after a while. I know for a fact exercise works that way. But food probably too. Maybe I continue losing because I do eat junk sometimes, or a piece of cake or whatever.
Change your exercise routine too! Instead of walking try lifting weights or doing sit ups or whatever you are able to do

It's amazing how much work a body can do with just 1500 calories, huh?
...once it shifts into 'high-efficiency' mode.
That's the reason my diets were so severe.
I didn't want it to take a day longer than necessary .

Join me on today's walk.

week 5 day 4

sushi today, plus soup. Probably miso soup

I am also trying to cut out one more thing, the sugar in my tea or coffee. It's not a lot but its also something I did not used to do and uneccessary calories

So I didn't make soup today since the lentil curry is sort of like soup and imagine that, I am not as full as usual and could have had a second plate ( but husband finished off the food before I got to it LOL)
So the soup is important
will definitely make some again tomorrow

week 5 day 6

today i am going to make that cabbage soup recipe I posted a link to in the soup thread, except it will have ground goat instead of beef in it
plus making German cake with streusel on top, it goes with soup

I want to reach my goal before the trip in May so I need to lose more than 1 lb a week
need to do at least 1 week of crash diet but will wait till March for that

logged 2.5 hours in the forest today. couple of big tulip poplar trees. seen 12 deer while walking and 40 driving.

week 5 day 7

weight myself today, down another lb. So 9 lbs lost 16 to go

it is sort of weird that I lose 1 lb a week, regardless pretty much of what I eat. I even had a junk day this past week, but I did go swimming on that day so that probably made up for it

Maybe I should sell my diet, everyone else is selling diets ( JUST KIDDING) , the "normal food " diet hahaha

today I am going to make omlettes (we have too many eggs) , creamed spinach and potatoes, plus leftover soup from yesterday
The soup was ok, but way too sweet. I don't know why you would add brown sugar to soup but that's what the recipe called for and I added it, so next time I make this no tomato juice and definitely no sugar, I will just use tomatoes
( this is the cabbage soup recipe on the other thread)
