Does ANYTHING Actually Work To Tone Down Tinnitus?

I started experiencing mild form of tinnitus in late November right after the insurance con job set up by that farmer in his uninsured farm ute who made me rear end him fairly sure its come about as result of my neck muscles being pulled out of whack by force of impact and air bag activation adding in around the same time i ended up with a bad case of impacted/hardened wax in my left ear which is the somewhat stable but bad ear

Due to 2 local hearing places who specialize in micro suction removal of wax being closed due to new years last year i managed to get an appointment at the Millicent medical clinic where my records are on file the attending GP did comment about some inflammation but no perforation of ear drum after it was flushed out by the nurse assigned to my appointment that day

The ringing or buzzing does have its good and bad days for example today its been a very low down and dull buzzing which is tolerable as soon as I'm able to find a chiropractor who isn't booked from ass end to breakfast for umpteen months I'll get my neck adjusted see if that fixes it

My dad was in the Vietnam war and fired guns without ear protection. Also had things blow up around him as they got shelled regularly so that didn't help his hearing. He also wasn't taught to use any hearing protection in Army Reserves and in his years in law enforcement. The tinnitus was very aggravating for him. I wonder if they discontinued the devices he used or if that is still a thing.

I ignore it until it gets too loud then my wife puts a pillow over her ears so she can sleep.

My tinnitus hasn't been too bad today its mostly an annoying dull buzzy noise which is much better than normal thankfully I've got a left ear bluetooth controlled hearing aid i can put in and mitigate its noisiness
