Dane Girl dont go do her business in the rain if its pouring rains
she does stare at me like * Are you crazy* and she goes back laying on her bed

But I usually see when rain is coming before it starts and then
let her go out and tell her : Go PEEEEEEE and 90% of the time she goes and do it 🥰
Then I tell her ...Come back ..come back home ...and she come back trotting up in the house
Mine doesn’t seem too worried about the rain but will sometimes ask to go out between squalls. She loves her rain jacket, but probably as much because she looks pretty in it. She loves the towel drying afterward, a wonderful game.

Beautiful morning at the park and walking trails! We did 4 miles ! Stopped for a couple of water breaks, pretty humid today!!

WOW, 4 miles! And I thought the mile we walk our pups was long!

Beautiful pooch ya got there!
We had nice shade the whole way ! We usually do more than that, but it was humid. Bear walks at a nice pace, not too fast, so it's easy to go for miles! When I had my Doberman it was a fast pace! 😮

As you may know we sometimes babysit Myshia's sister Kako (no idea how to spell it). They were littermates with Kako being the runt of the litter (she is still smaller all over than Myshia). But they are similar. They both can switch to a mode that we call AGRESSIVE LOVE (AL). Well so far in just a little over 16 hours. AL is that they aggressively get in your face & lick you all over while trying to crush your skull with the pressure they are exerting. And they do it both at once. Last night the mood hit them out of the blue & while trying to breath I got one of each of their ears in my mouth & they are long hair.

Have you guys discussed cataracts in dogs in this thread?
Vet hasn't mentioned it in the past year, but when pup turns her head and the light hits her eyes right, I see a blue thing across her eye (pupil or iris --can't tell because her eyes are so dark).
Is this a cataract? or is it just the light hitting her eye?
Have any of you had a dog with cataracts that you sought treatment for them?
What was the treatment? (Surgery is all I'm seeing for treatment for dog cataracts).
This dog is too wound up to go blind. That'd be a disaster. She was born in 2012 maybe. She is still very active.

Great topic!! So many dogs have eyesight and hearing issues that go unnoticed!! They are like people and will adapt in familiar places! If the eyes reflect a light color, it's cataracts!!

Thank you @Pearl
Maybe the vet isn’t the one looking in her eyes, don’t remember. We’ll see about getting her eyes examined next time we take her in.
If you determine that your dog has cat-a-racks, you might want to look for a specialist. This is not something most vets do.

Champ suffered a terrible injury (it's possible his leg got stuck in a machine, an electrical gate, or maybe he was hit by one of the trains passing in this area).

Rich Lujan, who reached out to Hope For Paws, informed me that after reviewing the security camera footage, he saw Champ at the refinery at 10 PM, walking on all four legs.
However, by the time he found him at 5 AM, Champ only had three legs.

Champ suffered a terrible injury and recovered beautifully!

Lmol, no more than 10 minutes...!!!

Senior dog with a terrible injury almost lost hope.

His recovery was amazing! 💙

I found Milton under a car with an infected wound that was full of maggots.
He had a large tumor and a bladder stone and also suffered from pneumonia.
We are so lucky to have the loving medical team at CARES that takes care of our rescues and nurses them back to health.

How people can do neglect their dog like that
