Is this a troubling start? or is it my old age paranoia?

Raid! National Guard, State Police descend on 81-year-old’s property to seize single pot plant

"All that remains of the solitary marijuana plant an 81-year-old grandmother had been growing behind her South Amherst home is a stump and a ragged hole in the ground"

"Procopio said that the Massachusetts National Guard Counter Drug Team — working under the Domestic Cannabis Eradication and Suppression Program and using a Department of Justice grant"

I think the charges should be brought against the pharmaceutical companies. They are the ones really behind the marijuana laws. How dare that old woman try to grow her own remedy for arthritis or anxiety and try to deprive them from their profit on the addictive and expensive treatments. Just my 2cents worth.

Just to be clear here, I don't smoke pot and think it's a complete waste of time. (Although as a teenager I enjoyed wasting a lot of time). On the other hand, I like a glass of red wine every night, and I don't want any ******* telling me they don't agree with it so I shouldn't do it. I believe that anything you do in the privacy of your own home, as long as it dosent hurt anyone else, should be no ones business but your own.
