I think we should throw out the whole bipartisan and electoral system and go to true voting of the people

Sounds good in theory...but then consider the AVERAGE American citizen..... It's already enough of a popularity contest and dog and pony show. Now, if they did this...., they should just require a TEST to vote, to ensure that folks do at least SOME research on the issues and candidates prior to voting...otherwise every Honey Boo Boo is going to vote in Kim Kardashian......

Of course, they will never do it, because those in power don't WANT us to be able to vote...they want to dictate two choices to us, when really, both candidates are just part of the same good ol' boy system....

Only 4 times in our history has a President won through the Electoral College but lost the popular vote (3 of these times was in the 1800s). I agree our system is broke. The Democrats are hellbent on changing America to a Socialist State and the Republicans are so power hungry that they would sell their souls to gain power (just my opinion).

I feel we need a revival. We are Rome and it hurts to see what's happening to us or I should say ... what they are doing for us.
