Well I harvested my fire (& probably last) cucumber (because I was dumb). I uncovered my planters to see how they would do in our first "normal" summer day (100 degrees). The rear tomato plants looked "sick" but the cucumber plant looked like hell. I doubt that it will make it. I covered all of them up the next morning & the tomato's look much better. We also harvested 5 or so peppers & lot's more to go. Other pepper plants are out in the sun & they are starting to bloom & looking good but I'll have to move them sooner or later.

Side note: Last year I bought 10 plugs of Zoysia grass. Plugs being about 1 foot by 2.5 ft. Four of them that were located in the shade & that I watered a LOT are still alive. I guess that was a waste of money because they won't live through one of our summers without a LOT OF WATER.

What name daylilies do you have?
I just bought Leprechaun eyes, Miss Ozie & Stella De Oro from Smokey's gardens.
Name...??? Thought I was getting these :

The TPS seedling I broke when planting out refused to die. I planted the root and it is giving it a go.

It is just a few small leaves but it is trying.

The potatoes are looking good.

After I whack more weeds I can work over 2.5 raised beds to process and plant.

Ben

My potatoes are looking about like yours, Ben. The ones I planted this year, and the volunteers that I guess I missed digging on another side of the garden ha. They are actually bigger.
Got all the sprouting trays planted, 18 of them, with sunflower and oats, and put them in the new greenhouse. Husband came outside on his scooter, so took him on a tour of the cucumber bed, the green beans, lettuce, sunflower, and snap peas. Also showed him the two places that guineas are sitting on eggs. Started digging another area, but came in because it's just too hot. 87 out right now, it's the hottest time of the day around now. I'll give it up till tomorrow morning.

My taters are doin great, getting good blooming now. I missed some last year in the garlic and onion beds. They are doin as good as onions and garlic are. Starting to get little tomatoes on. Squash isn't doing too good but starting to grow.

Nice raised bed Bacpacker! Your gardens are looking great! My potatoes are around that same height…some a little taller. The Red Potatoes aren’t as tall.

Before... and after the storms yesterday... the corn will still produce but not as well.

1st pic was on May 15 the second today, my corn is mostly flat. :(

You have a very nice garden nevertheless!! It is larger than mine. Have you tried planting your corn in a few short rows…like a square? They tend to do better that way.

Thanks. I've got 10 I've built over 3 years. Grow most stuff in them now. My taters are Yukon Golds. They've never got so tall before. Hope thats a good sign.
Hoping for no rain for a few days. I need to work up a few rows in the garden spot for beans, okra, cukes, and beans

Does anyone grow Stevia? I’ve been doing it for 2 years, but have to start new ones each spring. Would love some tips if anyone grows it.
A lady I clean for asked me this the other day!! She's going to try it next year, looking for more info and tips first!! If gets any good info/tips I'll pass them along!!

This time of year, around here a doe would be the culprit. They love fruit trees in spring. A biologist from the extension service explained it to me years ago. Don't remember the details, suffice to say, there's a nutrient in fruit trees that doe's need about the time they birth or right after.

Did you see tracks?

I believe it was deer that did in one my dwarf apple trees. Ate it right down to the graft.
