Still have vivid memories of sitting on the porch in a rocker between Grandma and Great Grandma snapping beans! My Great Grandmother was near on 100 by that time. She kept her long hair her entire life.

Everything is so slow because of the weather, no tomatoes ripe, but getting a steady supply of lemon zucchini and the last of the strawberries. Lovely colours as fall arrives. Just rescued my 'goth gadioli' from the rain. Not a fan of the flowers usually but love the colour.

Gorgeous day out- chores all done. Prepared a few beds for next year, and extra deep one for carrots- need to get more soil. Tomatoes not ripening, a small section of wood and turf, and Trip waiting patiently, some fennel

When the weather is too hot tomatoes don’t ripen very well.

Yeah hot and dry makes them split.

So in case anyone is curious. I had said back in spring that I planted my corn right on top of my spuds. . I planted two varieties of corn and only one grew (don’t have the name in front of me). I’ve never had success with corn but got more than I’ve ever been able to grow. Got a few small ears. The spuds did fine. If someone has only a small plot, I would say it’s a good pairing. We had a vole early in the season which effected things but am otherwise pleased.

My oyster mushroom bed just popped. I picked a large paper grocery bag full and still have all these beautiful babies. Got to get dehydrators back out!

Started to Sprinkle so :

1st Tree is Yellow or Hopefully will Grow Up Into One, the Leaf Wall will bee for the kids to be able to be in the yard w/o the German Sheps spying Them from the Neighbors Yard... The wall will be from the Corner of the House up to and on the left side of the Shed so the kids can run and play out and around that shed, Bird Bath, Well(Bushies' Resting Place) and 2 chairs... Just have to spray for Fleas and Ticks, Spiders and Ants...!!!
