This STUPID apricot is starting to bloom already 🤬🤬 I knew this variety was a poor choice with a 500 chill hour requirement paired with a very early harvest.View attachment 172548🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I had one apple tree (Liberty) that decided to bloom in late September / early October this past year. It was the only one. And normally, that variety is just fine for this growing zone. It was an odd year. Sincerely hoping the apple trees will grow this year as they really languished last year with the weather extremes. The ones that surprised me were my peach trees which exploded with growth. Come to think of it, my Lilac bush kinda did the same thing as that Liberty apple, it had blooms on it again in the fall.

I hope they grow and produce well for you. They look amazing.

Last year I couldn't get broccoli to grow at all. I planted both starts and seed and got nothing. But the cabbages just a foot over grew like gangbusters.

Another brassica I have trouble with is Brussel Sprouts, the plants grow big and fairly lush, but the sprouts are really small and not worth the effort. Last year I left them in the ground, thinking of letting them go to seed and I see now the sprouts have finally developed. I'm wondering just how long does it take for them to grow to harvest??? I planted them in April last year
Mine are similar. They are still out there because I didn’t pull them. They were still green. They are still green and “growing” so will see what happens.
